The Rain Left Me

by dovemarie

Yesterday's rain left
A chilly, damp morning
Wet, deep puddles
Streams dripping from the awning

Today's rain left
Flowers beaded with droplets
Softly pattering
As a pale-rayed sun sets

Tomorrow's rain wll leave
A rainbow's pot of gold
Value untold
Future fortunes to unfold

We're having an extremely rainy spring I wanted my poem to show how rain can be dismal, like life, yet burst out into a rainbow full of beauty and hope the way life can turn out thanks to PublicDomainPictures from Pixabay
