Needing some advice.
A chapter in the book Writing Journey
YouTube Shorts
by barbara.wilkey
Background In serious need of help. |

I'm furious right now, so this is probably going to fall into the rant category. I was just sent the script from each of my novels to be used with the shorts my publishing company is doing to promote my novels.
One would think that's a good thing. BUT, the scripts in no way resembled any of my novels. My question became, has anybody in your company read my novels.
A few months back, after a screw up with editing, I asked my publisher the very same question and added or is AI editing my novels.
The answer, "No, real people are editing your work."
After viewing my first short, I asked, "Did anybody read my novel?"
The answer again, "Yes, the editors."
Now, I'm angry. To me if anybody actually read my novels, then the shorts would resemble the novel, it was created to represent. Right?
Anyway, that leads me to another question. I know nothing about shorts. Do shorts represent the novel they are created about, or are they just click bait?
I sent them back to him, with, again, the question, has anybody read my novels?
Please if any of you know anything about this, let me know. I am technically challenged.
