I have heard about some sects in US who are very conservative .A woman not wearing pants is unusual these days .Tyler seems to be a very caring person. I AM.ANTICIPATING a lovely romance between the two..

Yes, Rebeka was raised very conservative. I do have some friends who follow these traditions. More will be coming out. Thank you for the kind review.

Hi Barbara,

A good continuation of the story here.

After this point - Rebeka did. - the presentation changes and it looks like all the text is highlighted somewhat. It's a minor thing.

I'll be in the den, if you need anything." He left.- you could probably omit 'He left' from the end here.

"In my bottom dresser - at this point the presentation goes back to non-highlighted.

All the best
G

I have no clue why it did this. I copied and pasted it all at once. I guess FanStory gremlins are at work. I have made the correction. Thank you for taking the time to read. I appreciate it.

I've been waiting to find out why Rebekah was running and I thought you did a good job with the reveal. I'm already rooting for her and Tyler to get together and we're only a few chapters in. I can't wait to see how their story pans out. Another excellent chapter, Barbara, I really enjoyed it.

Hi Barbara, so here I am following along with your new novel. So Rebeka is a known author. But, obviously, something has happened. I'm sure we will soon know what that is. Hugs, Ulla xcx

We will find out what's going on, but it will take time. She struggles with trust and a positive self-concept. Thank you for the kind review.

I loved the first chapter and so glad I have found this. I was not notified, I don't think. Such a lovely read and I hope this is going where I think it is.
Some changing needed...From "Retinoscope" you copped some background on the test in white. AND
a couple (of)flannel shirts

I love it already, and I think the girl is a little bit naive about the pants:) I wear them all the time , is this making me less lady like:) Thank you for sharing and I cannot wait to read the next chapter.

Thank you for the kind review. The pants are a religious thing for her and more will come out.

I didn't spot any problems with the writing itself, and the font is a nice size. It is a little worrisome that she has never worn pants and fears her father's censure. Is she Menonite to explain this reaction. Our Menonite neighbor ladies do not wear pants ever, but they might be allowed to write sweet romances and go to college if they have very understanding parents. They do get to select their own mates.

Thank you for the kind review. Rebeka doesn't have an understanding father.

This is written well. I think you are providing your readers with a good introduction of your two main characters, a bit of her past and his personality. You've introduced him as caring, and kind, has a kind dog. We see she does have a sheltered and abusive man (father) in her past and has troubles for the doctor to help her fix (save from).

You always have such likable characters. And I'm glad that Rebeka has a fan among Tyler's closest. That should make it easier for both Tyler and Rebeka for the current living situation!

Dr Tyler is certainly being very attentive to Rebekah while she's not being the most communicative. But it's quite clear from his face-time call to Elizabeth that Rebekah is an author of some note. Your story reads clearly and fluently without any errors noted. Thank you for sharing, Barbara. Take care Debbie
