Well, Debi, once again I am not familiar with the poetry format, but that does not matter when the poem is well written. I enjoyed reading this and now I know what it meant. A very good ending too! The photos are awesome! Keep up the great work!

I read and commented on Rhonda's post. I informed her of my similar situation. My eldest daughter brought to my wife and I a little newborn who's mom was a teenaged runaway in trouble with the law and totally unfit to be a mom. We took the child in, applied for custody and received it. That child will be thirty years old in a few months and has remained in our life as a vital member since she first came into our lives. She is also a wife and a mom to three.

Hi Nomi, I love that you did the same with a child. I am so proud of you too. Once again we learn how much we have in common. After all of us kids were moved out of our house, my mom and dad took in a baby whose parents were drug addicts and so I have a little brother who is younger than my youngest daughter.

I wonder why her mother had to go to jail? Would that be Rhonda and Wayne's daughter? I'll have to go over and read her poem. Always nice to hear of a "good ending".

Hi Kimbob, drugs have been a problem for a while, so it has been hard to let the mother take her, before legally what could they do? Sad, huh? So a couple years ago I started Kylie smashups and since have done a virtual auntie Debi adoption. LOL. Thanks my awesome friend for the kind words for Khlie and her poem.
