Nature's finest
Geese--they don't care
Geese gleefully joining in formation
don’t care if it is raining outside.
Hail is pouring buckets on them
and sliding off of them like a duck.
I wish I were a waterfowl
enjoying soaring
no matter how
wet in the sky, I could fly.
If ever I were reincarnated
into something else
I would choose to become a pelican.
They dive straight down
splashing into the ocean
catching a fish every time.
Geese, pelicans, and ducks
don’t care what the weather is like outside.
Their strong resilience supports
creative adaptation to sky, water, and land.
