I'm sure my older brother, John Androulidakis, was there then. He was a young Marine and was in Germany for a while, then.
This is a cool story and had good imagery, descriptions, and humor. I think serving in armed forces trains people to not only protect and fight but to also tell a good story and definitely a good joke. I must tell the story of my summer on my brother's base. I visited his little family all summer and it was hilarious. I was well protected too.
I enjoyed reading your story! Excellent writing!

This is a cool story and had good imagery, descriptions, and humor. I think serving in armed forces trains people to not only protect and fight but to also tell a good story and definitely a good joke. I must tell the story of my summer on my brother's base. I visited his little family all summer and it was hilarious. I was well protected too.

I couldn't help but smile as I read this. This is a great read. When we were in Germany in the late '80's they still had REFORGER. I didn't participate because I was a spouse, but my husband did. I taught first grade while we were station in Darmstadt. Whenever the Russian moved on the Fulda Gap, we all would go on alert and armed troops patrolled the halls in the school, even during school time.

Wow! I remember the Fulda Gap. They told us that if WWIII broke out it would start there and we would suffer 200,000 casualties in the first hour! Thank you for your service as a teacher too Barbara. That is such an honorable occupation. I truly appreciate the great review and you!

Lol! Well, thank you so much Dolly. Oh yes, our military plays war games all the time. Look what just happened in South Korea. It became too real. South Korea accidentially dropped bombs on a village during war games...So sad. Thanks for the great review too!
