Sorry you are getting mucked around. This leads me to believe my delay in getting my own stuff published might have been a good idea. Hoping you can get some fresh light on all this.

One definitely needs to stand up for themselves. That's for sure. Thank you for the support.

Hey Barbara, I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but I can give you an inside look at how I company I used to work for did this kind of thing.
I was a contract editor for RR Donnelley. Authors would submit a brief synopsis (maybe 4-5 pages) of their book. Contract writers then wrote up the marketing materials based on the synopsis. Then editors (me) proofed the writer's marketing materials.
In this case, nobody down the chain had read the book. Though I wasn't even required to read the synopsis to do the editing, I had access to it in case I needed to clarify something the (marketing) writer wrote. There were many times I thought the hired writers had completely missed the original author's intent.
But it was all about the volume. We were required to process dozens of these a day. And there was almost no oversight.
I don't know how similar this is to what's happening to your video shorts, but I suspect it's along those lines.
If your publisher doesn't support you and work with you, you may need to find a publisher who does. I guarantee you complaining won't change anything because it's a numbers game and they have their 'efficient' process in motion.

I'd have to say your instinct is probably the correct, although adds are frequently into misrepresentation, our two major supermarket chains are being investigated for price gouging, but little seems to happen. My sympathy Barbara, blessings Roy

Well done

This has to be really frustrating to you. I would want to know if they had really read my work and not some AI thing. I don't know anything about shorts either. I just see them on my computer and read them sometimes. I think you are right to question them about having read your work. love and blessings, Teri

Perhaps these shorts should be created by you? I know when I advertise my books on Amazon, I write the introduction, not them! I enjoyed your understandable rant here Barbara, love Dolly x x x
