A Looping Acrostic

As daybreak comes

by kahpot

As daybreak comes she wears fresh scars
Scars that cover her childhood dreams

Dreams of love little girls adorn
Adorn with pride for coming years
Years that beckoned bright stars beyond
Beyond a time where love's restrained
Restrained by walls bouncing echoes
Echoes of hope praying for aid
Aid unseen, for darkness she's kept
Kept on tether till mind was caged

Caged in dreams she cannot open
Open and free past memories
Memories now of pain are etched
Etched in blood so cold and silent
Silent and still as daybreak comes

Thank you Renate-Bertodi for the artwork
A form I like to practice every now and then.
An acrostic and loop poem combined-no rhyme scheme
There is far too much of this sort of abuse going on
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
