I loved the sentiment in this nature poem; hard years without welcome showers of relief mirroring a hard life struggling to hold it all together. Parched, cracked, neglected. Fraying nerves, hard on the surface, in desperate need of nourishment. I think it reflects a neglected soul beautifully.
Tough decision. So many good ones, but I liked the imagery produced in this one.
An astonishing piece of poetry.
Oh this was such a difficult choice. I narrowed it down to six, then three, then two and I hate having to choose one of them above the other. But I must, so I'm going for the Wise Owl over the Crocus, with Wildlife Walks a close third.
Thank you to everyone for entering - the standard overall was very high.
Just Beautiful!
Excellent imagery of a simple nature walk. Good luck, Debs.
