It is so good to hear from you again. Yes, I have had many happy thoughts/feelings since I wrote this poem. Channeling my happy experience into a poem has helped me to continue to revel in happiness through growing relationships with others whom I am in contact with on a regular basis. It feels good that when you visit this site, you seek out my portfolio for my recent poetry. You have made my day/night with this special review and super rating. Thank you for returning to my life. I wish for you plenty of happy days, as well.

Hi Jesse, this is a lovely sentiment in this free verse poem about opening up to new experiences and people. It is definitely a scary but can be a highly rewarding enterprise for certain. I do wish there were concrete images in this write to paint a picture that shows the reader examples rather than abstract generalizations. However, that is likely not the goal of this write to record a positive moment of communion. If you do decide to try and publish this, that would be my recommendation moving this forward. Good on you for making the effort to connect with others!

Hello. Thanks for the kind words and helpful suggestions. This was written to share with friends and to encourage myself to remember this occasion. I thought I'd let you know that I have Asperger's Syndrome so that you can see what a true victory this beginning to trust others is for me. I have great difficulty socializing and trusting people. I always have. Thanks for letting me share. And thanks for the 5 star rating and helpful review.

Those dolphins look happy because they are trusting their companions and sharing happiness - or maybe they are sharing trust and that is creating happiness. The two sentiments do seem to go hand in hand.
Your poem captures an uplifting feeling of joy and positivity. Finding a "common thread of understanding" is the best way to form relationships, then we won't have to "hold people suspiciously at bay". I like the occasional rhymes.
