What a word "smith!" This is not only clever in the use of wordplay, but also in the imagery it presents of staying in the saddle no matter how hard you get bucked.

Thanks for your own word-play review, Susan. I'm pleased you liked my poem.

Sometimes you feel like life does take you on a bucking bronco ride.
I like the humor of horse being replaced by force to give encouragement.
Congrats on the contest win

Bravo and congratulations on the win. Yes, life is a rodeo, just hold on tight and spin 'round. The Star Wars nod was also clever. Great use of 15 syllables, cheers, judester

I got a smile with this one, LisaMay. :) You have the syllable count, but more important is that you give us all the blessing of the horse Jet-eye. Spoken from the lips of the master horsewoman rider. :) Thank you for sharing. "May the force be with you, too."

A very well-written fifteen syllable poem about the horse that doesn't care who is on his back, if you are not aware of his every move you will be bucked off before you know it.

What a hoot! Love the play on words in the last line. I used to have several horses and have been bucked off. The trick is to get right back in the saddle again. Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks for your review... i'm pleased you enjoyed it. I used to ride horses when i was younger; they never bucked me off but instead seemed to rather like trying to rub me off against a fence or a tree... or else I couldn't persuade it to move at all!

I had one rear with me once. That was not fun!

You needed a velcro saddle!!

Yes, it's perfectly clean and is an encouragement to stay connected with what carries you along through life's travails.
Or else it's a combination of profanity, a sense of injustice, and a nod to popular movie culture.
