You poem is very descriptive about the famous Fingal's cave. We have one in my area called Luray Caverns, it is awesome to see and go into. Can you imagine when people lived in caves.
It rhymes very well and travelers will enjoy reading it.
Good luck in the contest.

Hi Tony
What a wonderful ballad, the creativity your words bring opens the mind to the picturesque imagery of this most beautiful of natures settings.
And such a lovely picture to accompany your writing.

Again, many thanks for your review, Mitchell. This poem was about a visit more than a decade ago with some old friends - a special time, close to my heart in memory. Best wishes, Tony

I enjoyed this captivating tale. Your words flowed smoothly. A unique theme, a bit long for my taste, but you held my interest. I was intrigued by the picture, and I'm glad I stopped by to read your special poem.

I love puffins. One of my children's favorite poems when they were young was, "Oh there once was a puffin". I can still recite it word for word as we read almost everyday for years.
This is a sweet reminder of those unique little birds. I enjoyed the story you told beautifully in this lovely poem.
well done Tony,
blessings

In my opinion, am incredible poem, written in the epic style and beautifully articulate in its fluid and solid rhyme - I cannot understand why this was not a contest entry for one of the FanStory contests, especially the "story in a poem" contest. It is an amazing piece indeed, and I loved the read...

Comment from Pam (respa)
-I love the photo, and I like puffins, too!
-Author notes appreciated.
-A good ode, Tony, that progresses
well with good images and description
of the puffins and comparison to dance.
-One of my favorite lines:
"There soon emerged a rainbow beak
and small tuxedoed bird"
-Very good conclusion, esp. the last line.

What a beautiful poem about a very interesting bird the puffin and the land they inhabit. Your choice of words and phrases is beautiful and your poem just flows along nicely all the way through. Your imagery and the information in the footnote were very useful. PM
