A very well written story that I connected with. When I way in Pattya Beach Tialand, I had a ball parasailing. Well documented.

Yes, Nika2016, always remember. I knew that when my dying cousin asked me to hold her purse while she parasailed, I had to remember and document everything about her journey, because she would be going on the ultimate journey soon. I am humbled that this beautiful story brought tears to your eyes. Thank you for your generous, six star review.

Excellent writing of a heart-felt tribute to a loved one. Very descriptive and sprinkled with a few interesting bits of history. I think you did your cousin proud with this. Great job!

This is strange... I know I reviewed this before. I guess it didn't take. Just another glitch from the FS demons, I guess. ENjoyed the story. Moving, uplifting, and well written. :)

Tremendously moving tribute filled with color, hope, love, and wonder. The writing is carefree, open to possibilities. You've immortalize you are sister.. The readers shares her freedom and daring in the face of the ultimate challenge. May her new adventure be even more spectacular.

Nice work on this tribute to your cousin. This is well written as always. I really enjoy your storytelling ability, and how you pick subject matter that makes you think and tugs at the heart. Well done!

Take care,
Russell

Yes, Russell, my storytelling ability bore fruit in this tribute I wrote to read as a eulogy at my cousin's memorial. I also "pick subject matter that makes you think and tugs at the heart." Thank you for your stellar, six star review.

What a wonderful story about your friend Gina. It was moving and beautiful. You presented it all in a way that unfolded her personality like a blooming flower. The test drive metaphor was touching. An outstanding piece. A lovely tribute.

Yes, Treischel,, not only was the test drive metaphor touching, I believe that my cancer-stricken cousin deliberately did it to help cope with her fear of death and to get a foretaste of Heaven. Thank you for your stellar review on "a lovely tribute."

Hi, Andre. I like this story. You have the knack fortelling one and keeping it interestring for sure. Super images throughout....like these:

" Telephone lines hung papel picado, the paper doilies fluttering in the Banderas Bay breeze. Street food vendors crafted aromas that wafted through streets."

And: "She rises from the sand like a released yellow balloon. I could neither stop nor join her journey."

Bravo, my friend. Good job. Good tale. Bob

Suggestions: A rule of the road: NEVER start a story or chapter with dialogue. It just doesn't work and if you check out 99 percent of any books, fiction or non...you will see they never begin with dialogue.

Thank you, Bob, for your generous, six star review. I am glad my "super images" struck you as vivid.

Thank you also for your suggestion about never starting a story with dialogue. I come from the world of live storytelling where storytellers sometimes break the rules and start a story with dialogue. I can find my own 99 examples from that world. Given that I wrote this eulogy for me to read and perform before an audience of mourners, I kept my atypical beginning for a eulogy. The audience laughed at that opening line, "Andre, I need you to hold my purse." It is so unexpected, but it is also typical of Gina. Laughter is a great way to open a eulogy. I received my desire effect on stage and I got the audience wondering, "What is going to happen next." Usually when a woman asks a person to hold her purse, something violent is about to happen, because women seldom part with their purses in public unless she means business.

Thank you again for your review, stars, and suggestion.

I agree with you, Andre. You sure don't need my advice. (I was speaking as a rule for most people and their writing) Blesssings, Bob

Thank you, c_lucas, for your review. Gina knew she was going to die so she lived life to the fullest. The rest of us put death out of our minds and may not live each day as if it counted and may be our last. Once again, thank you for your review.

I am almost at a loss for words. First, I am very sorry for your loss, you must have loved your cousin very much to do so much for her and write such a beautiful eulogy for her. Your words do Gina such a great honour.
The deep heartfelt way you celebrate her life in the biography is a true tribute to her. To pay her such compliments as "you look like Bo Derek" and "You look like a black goddess coming down to earth...." shows such love but for Gina to respond, "You're crazy, I'm just Gina.", Shows how truly genuine and humble a woman she was. Beautiful from the inside out. Genuine and beautiful, it speaks of both of your souls.
Blessings to you and my sincerest condolences.

Thank you, lufoster, for your generous, six star review and for your condolences. Gina would have been thrilled by your response. She orchestrated the flight and brought me, a storyteller, along because she wanted to be remembered. I am glad that you found my tribute to her deep and heartfelt. Once again, thanks.
