Ah yes, Mikey this is a brilliant poem indeed. We do like to go with the flow as it can be fairly frightening going it alone. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy were two who most certainly forged their own paths.

I love the music, especially the vocals that can be heard fairly well despite your less than ideal recording studio. LOL.

My only suggestion is a little less phase shifter and volume on the guitar. In fact this song seems it would be ideal accompanied by an acoustic.

Very nicely done all in all. Soon you're gonna be rich and famous and I can say I knew you when.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Gloria

I'm smiling thinking of my "studio" which was a thirty dollar Radio Shack cassette recorder. :))
So pleased you liked the poem and could get the gist of the music. Yeah, phase shift ... love that sound. Less is more. I'm just a spazz at mixing. It doesn't sound the way it comes out when I'm recording it. It isn't til it's finished that I can see how out of whack it is. Well, it gives me excuses and I can CLAIM I'll sound better if I get better junk to record with.
Yep, you WILL be able to say you knew me when when when is likely to be no different than then. Even If I'm rich you'll know me. I have to have someone who thought I was halfway decent when I was poor, yes?
Wow, a six too. You're too sweet, sweeter than sweet I've heard and agree with.
I hope your Christmas is as good as it can be and your family and friends as well, mikey

Mikey;
-a fresh and brilliant rendition of the ideas and concepts of Bobby Kennedy's and Martin Luther's. Your piece of poetry is self evident to the specialities of the characters of these wonderful men and you brought out special feelings in your poem.
- you delivered in exquisitely expressive tribute, through your writing, of who will be next that will come out from the crowd and take up the necessary ideals to present to the people of the world.
- your picture in the beginning set the mood and tone for your writing and was absolutely appropriate, relative and complementary to your work.
- thank you for sharing and posting and may the good Lord always be with you Mikey.
PS: is have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and wealthy in love the new year.

Hey, thanks so much, Alex. So pleased you enjoyed the lyrics. Did you listen to the music? It's crude but all I have at the moment. I am getting a digital multi track recorder, a cheap one, but it should be an improvement if I can figure it out!!
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and the New Year brings you everything you wish for. Blessings to you and yours, mikey

Mikey; I sometimes use YouTube to help me or where I can learn how to record. It has excellent teaching. We should try it out. Just type in what you want to learn and it should find out where you're going.

Hi there Ms. Sweet and Lovely girl. :))
I'm so pleased you liked this. Did you listen to the music? It's a little (a lot) noisy, so hard on the ears.
Thank you so much. Hope you have the greatest Christmas. Give her what she wants, Santa, or you'll have to deal with me!! mikey

I was very young when this occurred but oh what an impression it made on me. The Kennedy brothers and Dr. King shaped my philosophy for life and patriotism. Regardless of accusation of their personal lives, their intelligent leadership has not been surpassed. (even thought they recreated Reagan to pretend it has) I do think that hind-sight will put Obama in line with them. Some one needs to add 3 more heads to Mt Rushmore

We are totally on the same page. Not surprised. I'm sure if someone asked me what my beliefs are I would be safe in having them ask you. :))
Agree Reagan ... Obama too unfortunately though I think the unwillingness of the parties to reach any kind of agreement is a huge anchor to carry for him. I long for the days when there were people who had their own opinions and ideals and stuck with them. Have the greatest Christmas. Loving your book that I sneak by and read here and there. Can't wait to buy it. mikey

Yes it can refer to any one you want to put in.
But I agree with you, this is quite a tribute to those who stand for what they believe and are not afraid to speak out.

This is a perfect marriage of words and music. The verse moves along pleasantly with a nice beat. The chorus is a super hook both in meaning and catchiness. This could be a hit if you got lucky. Well done in all aspects and your voice suits it beautfully.

Mikey, this song is beautiful!
The oxymoron of the chorus is incredible on its own!
There is indeed a way of being completely alone among many people!
Not to mention unique!
Especially once you mention Martin Luther and Bobby :)!
The part about the little girl is just lovely!
It's a very inspirational song and your voice is amazing!
Thank you for sharing!

This is quite profound, as well as catchy. The repetition of one marching alone out of one million is powerful and moving. The song is inspiring and also provides a sort of bittersweet nostalgia. Very well done.

I think you may be right in them being cut down for their convictions, at least partly. So pleased with your response. Thank you kindly, mikey
