This is very sound, very creative. I love the flow of the chapter because of your choice of vocabulary. This is like laying a siege over England, an open confrontation with William.

It is my opinion that the story just didn't flow.
The Vampire had been at the castle since the king was born, yet no one notice that he didn't age?
Where did the evil happen, with the wolf, or at the castle>
King was suspicious of the vampire, yet he would never suspect?
I don't understand why the vampire would condemn the king for being evil, when he is no better.

So, vampires now have control of London.
Very interesting nightmare, Brett.
A few suggestions:
-suffer[,] or simply for his amusement. (not a compound sentence)
- and travelled(traveled) any way.(anyway)
-close associate(,)the Wolfe(,)
-"Call all your little heart desires(,) William
-In desperation he asked(,) [me],(we know who he was talking to)
- chambers[,] and too scared to care.(not a compound sentence)

Hi Brett, Intriguing story with a solid flow. I enjoyed the irony of the character being the real vampire. It reminded me a bit of the movie, "Dracula" What I especially enjoyed was your description on what the king would do to torture the people. Good notes too. Take care and cheers.

Doctor Howler does come up with some wild nightmares, doesn't he? Glad you enjoyed this one.

I saw that you have posted many nightmares, are they all your real nightmares? Scary but also an amazing insight and writing as a useful outlet so they don't haunt you during the day. I also have very vivid dreams which I often use as subjects for writing. Great job! Continue to write down those dreams!

My Doctor Howler Nightmares are real nightmares that I have. I write them to rid myself of them. Glad you enjoyed this one. Appreciate your comments and support. Many people have come to enjoy them, as they are all, except this one currently, Recognized status. So, I suppose I will keep having them and posting them here.

Very interesting reading with great horror shark's teeth. I read most of it, but I usually only read poetry, sorry. Drs warning at the start, no children must not hear horror stories just before they go to sleep. Dr should know better.
I have horror nightmares if I see this type of movie.
Punctuation and sentence structure is excellent. I can only dream of being this good at writing!!

Will let the good Doctor know you disagree with his assessment about telling children scary Bedtime Stories. Glad you enjoyed this one.

A satisfying, gruesome getting the bad guy(?), but isn't a vampire kind of a bad guy too? Oh well, The real fun comes from the description and manic thoughts running through this dark hero. Your writing is hypnotic and I savor each one.

Ha ha Brett you make me laugh at times with your imagination. A good story and as much as I like Prince William ( and hope one day he will be king) I did smile at this story and thought well done . I'm sure he would find it quite interesting and surely even he would smile
Thanks for having such an imagination Cheers Christineð???

I surely do hope he would smile as no malice was intended towards him in this story at all. I also think he would make a very fine king one day. Appreciate your comments and support. So does my Doctor Howler persona who has these Nightmares he writes about.

Hi Brett,
You do a great job in writing stories about nightmares. Because I like the way you write I'll keep reading them even though I'm not particularly excited over nightmare stories. I had way too many of them starting out when I was a little girl and up until about 13 years old. I was afraid to go to bed and would stay awake as long as I possibly could. I still think of them now and again, but praise the Lord I don't have them anymore.

Glad you are nightmare free. Do not know that feeling. I have them frequently as my "Doctor Howler" persona displays.
