Doctor Howler's Nightmares read and sound great. A well thought out chapter done with accurate sense of creativity and instinct. You gave graphical details that lead the readers on in the story.

Talk about food poisoning.. I loved every twisted, maniacal and disturbed part of the story. Kinda reminded me a bit of Creep Show and the Father's Day cake with the head on a platter. It was very entertaining well done and most definitely worth the read.

Hi Brett.
Your spooky artwork caught my eye. I thought it was going to be a ghost story. But, wow, what a way to get revenge on somebody. The mean old judge served up on a platter. I hope there were plenty of vomit bags on hand at the end of the main course.
Very well written, and definitely full of horror.
cheers

So, the coroner gave you the body. That was a ten-thousand dollar meal. Would the poison have gone into the judge's tissues? If so maybe all of the guests would keel over, too.

$10,000 nothing to pay for the revenge. Glad you enjoyed this little story.

I think this was a good story of sweet revenge. It is well written and I bet a few were not feeling so well after all that meat and learning where it came from.
Only a couple of things: The sentence that reads Not the first time I had fed a Dog and Pony Show of this caliber before. I would delete before.
Next I would write : The careless Coroner's 'sloppy' autopsy... He was bribed after all so he was probably not sloppy as well as.
I enjoyed the read. All the best, Ulla

G'day Brett. Great little spooky yarn mate. Please remind me to ask you not to cater for my next barbecue LOL. This is another really entertaining and very vivid image story. That's a freaky picture as well, even my 7yo daughter jumped when I opened it. I wonder how often revenge is taken on judges, scary thought. I had a good time with this tasty yarn Sir....
One tiny spag....
"Oh, I had previously had my run-in(s) with Judge Johnson." (Needs to be plural with the following bit.)
Cheers Fez

Thanks for your comments and support. Always appreciate them very much indeed. Glad you enjoyed this one. Would eating human flesh be along the same lines as eating a roo? Trying to visualize what I think it might taste like, and somehow, no one has been able to suggest a comparison. Sounded like a great way to get revenge though.

LOL. I think I'd prefer roo. I reckon that it would taste like domestic cat, although when you skin a cat the flesh is a kind of green color and slimy, but I've always thought it would taste like cat.

Nice, but weird, story line from start to finish.
Progression was spot on.
No problems noted.
Interresting and thought provoking at the same time.
The evil deed well stated

this is a great story, brett. it reminds me of a story in my portfolio about eating a steak dinner and milk and finding out it was Elsie, the Borden Cow. I did an obituary for her and a story as well.
