The maniacal cockroach and his plan for world domination displayed a great personality that really had me invested. I also enjoyed the humorous tone. Well done. :)

Your dreaming mind was working over time with this plot. But there are super bugs in us that only 4-5 anti-biotics will work on these bugs so it is so possible that the outside bugs, which they are come to think of it, become superior to our insecticides. Our biologicals are here but are not used widely enough to work on that which we don't see until infestations.
Hope I don't have a Bug Out # 2 dream. lol
well written

I can imagine such a thing happening, hopefully way into the future though and certainly not in my lifetime. As humans we do seem to think that we rule everything on earth but that may just come back to haunt us one day. A well written piece, Brett, I couldn't find any faults. Thanks for sharing...Jacob

I HATE roaches, and to think this was an actual dream I had. Appreciate your comments and support indeed.

A suitably horrible offering. It makes my flesh creep, imagining hoards of hungry cockroaches advancing on my town. They say that cockroaches are the oldest living creature, I know they are damn hard to get rid of.

Appreciate your comments and support. Roaches! Absolutely a nightmare indeed!

My goodness but this is a nightmare. I had visions of an old black and white movie with the locust hordes destroying everything in their path--and they were only normal sized. I did think once it would be interesting to write the history of the world according to the coach roach. They were here long before us and probably will be long after. What a creepy story!

Yes those little buggies are very CREEPY! Agree, as much as I HATE those things that they will probably be here long after mankind is gone. Glad you enjoyed this little nightmare.

I liked the idea of your story. You could have went anywhere with this.
What I had a problem with is that it is told in narration. It talked about "action", but had no action. Also it seemed as if you had the bugs acting like humans. They even blew a bugle at one point. A bug blowing a bugle. I can't see it, not in my wildest imagination.
You glossed over what could have been the only action. One moment the bugs are about to go through Cambridge and the next they are past it.

Thanks for your comments and support.

You are welcome. If you take out the bugle and let the bugs play out the action it could be riveting. I would love to read that!

Five feet long and fifty pairs of legs super bugs with fangs. I want to thank you for adding another phobia to my list of fears. The real scary part is that I can image an experiment like that being attempted in a lab somewhere. Nice and gory. Good job.

Gross and disgusting is my thought of your nightmare. I also do not believe it is proper reading for children of all ages. I have to go to Cambridge once a month I wonder if this story will pop into my head the next time I travel there. The story is wonderful for those who love it gory. The artwork is grand. Well done my friend.
