The picture of the rainbow was really beautiful. I liked the light blue background and the way the words danced on my tongue. This is very good poem. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Very creative approach to the contest subject. I think it is a lovely idea to dance in rains of colors. There is enough blackness in the world. Well done.
Kind regards

I really enjoy the story inside this. From the past to the present the transition it had. From colorless to colorful you seem to have been and that is through the One who can save. I like the not so hidden message inside and the intentions that you had in writing this. Good work - D.O.

This is a beautiful poem dear friend! I like the way you create an imagery that encloses the rainbow. I just wish you would have been more playful with the colors or hues. Just to keep you guessing the topic.
Anyhoo. Thank you for sharing!
Blessings!
Good luck with the contest!

LoannaLois this is really beautiful - a lovely entry into the contest. I particularly like your lines following - For I lived in that world of black. You give lovely of examples of a good use of metaphor on the lines following that one. A lovely read. Good Luck in the contest. Warm ergards Dorothy x

This brings to mind a performance of Benjamin Brittain's opera for children "Noyes Fludde". In the finale, all the cast of Noah's family and the animals is gathered oon stage and the rainbow appears. Often this a multicoloured fanlike device, but in this one production the effect was created by rainbow-hued dancers waving long broad ribbons. I twas fantastic for both colour and movement.
Throughout your poem I kept conjuring up the image of that performance. Well done with this piece of writing.

Nicely done. I can't imagine life without color. I hope the blind
are compensated some how for having to go through life without
color.
