Love these. I think that this is the future. I just wish I was more savvy technically. Great presentation and yes, it does add to the effect and enjoyment of the piece. I recall the first couple of pieces I read of yours. Really mind blowing. A total experience that at the time was alone here in form. Some of us are trying to emulate, but nowhere near this yet. As always, a great poem leads the way. mikey

Hey, thanks, Mikey, I'm really glad that you like these types of poems. It ain't no stretch for me to say not everyone does. They are one of those things were folks absolutely love 'em, and appreciate the time and effort that goes into creating one, or they can't stand them, and wish they'd simply go away. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground there, either.
Thanks again. i really appreciate it! :} ~Dean

I know many don't, but I just love Picta-Poems and don't know anyone that does them better than you. Sorry it has taken me so long to get to this but I have been busy wallowing in self-pity and have finally come up for breath. Great work with this. I enjoyed it very much.

Thanks, Smurphgirlsasha, and you're right, they ain't for everyone. But, those that do like them really seem to like them a lot, so I do them for good people just like yourself who appreciate the effort that they take to create.
Thanks for the wonderful and complimentary review, and have a fantastic Thanksgiving Day.! :}

Thanks so much, Mae, and I really appreciate readers like yourself who enjoy these. They take a tremendous amount of work to produce. There are so many factors to consider. But, reviewers and readers like you make all the effort well worth it.
Thanks again, Mae, and I hope you and your family have a very happy Thanksgiving.

We do not have a grand celebration of Thanksgiving in the Philippines. We only celebrate Christmas and New Year's day... as in the whole country is celebrating. However, we have the so-called Thanksgiving after farmers harvest what they planted and it is done in the rural area only.
I don't like rural people's idea of thanksgiving because they have a tendency to become a one day millionaire. Some will sell most of their harvest to spend in feast for a day.
Have you tried writing an inspiring and romantic poem with a heavenly sound in the background? I will love to see that and be inspired. have a nice day c", Mae

Short and sweet you attack all the monsters of deed and mind that sleep beneath our bed and in our thoughts. It is true if you gaze into the abyss It will gaze back at you. This gives me shivers of a childhood's obsevation.

Gripping horror that makes the hair on the back of your head stand up. Night fright , mayhem, and murder, add to the experience of this Pictapoem. Well done, as usual.

Friedrich Nietzsche.. have not heard or seen that name in quite awhile. Though your words are of the darker side, I must admit that you do an excellent job of lighting up the page.

Well, you already know it's easy
to scare me - altho seeing the
horror isn't so bad as wondering
what horror's out there - if that
makes sense.
A great poem, as always, Dean... your the master!

Thanks for the exceptional rating, comments and review, Margaret. I'm very happy you enjoy these Picta-Poem creations. I realize not everyone appreciates the effort involved.
Again, thanks again. It's always a pleasure hearing from you. :}

This brings me back to the days of taking a running jump to the bed so those monstrous hands could not grab my legs. Throwing mum, dad and sis into the equation makes it doubly sinister. You really play on a common childhood fear here. Of course I no longer have to worry. I sleep on the couch (due to snoring). Excellent chills.

Thanks, Ed. I was always more scared of what was lurking in my closet as a kid than I was what might be under my bed.
You too, huh? Forced to sleep on the sofa, I mean. I feel your pain... and it starts way down in the lower back, and then travels ...
Oh, never mind. Thanks a bunch for the review. ;)

Very fun and scary. I liked the child like nursery rhyme feeeling to this. Good rhythm and the flow was good. I have missed your picta poems and the music that usually sticks in my head long after the poem is finished. Quite a thing to read just before bed. Gretchen

Hah, no, probably not the best before-bedtime poem to be reading, Gretchen, but I'm still glad you gave it a shot just the same, LOL.
Thanks for your great review, my friend. It's always appreciated. :}

Hi Dean,
....well, I guess as long as they get you first, lol.
I enjoyed the weird circus music that accompanied the piece, also.
The theme of monsters under the bed was a great idea...something to which we may all relate.
Another great write from our own personal master of horror. Well done, my friend.
Hope your evening is scream-free, lol, Bill
