Wow! Your alliteration was alluring and awesome. I LOVED it! Seriously, it seared my senses. The mono-rhyming was marvelous. Go go girl! Great job!

My right as a reviewer to be wretchedly wrong, angry and anxious and animosity prone, is indicted by ignorance,
illiteracy and ire-that'll save. Excellent quatrains.

Your use of alliteration, at the beginning, was so subtle, and believable, that it took me about into the second stanza before I realized what you were doing. Translation: it felt natural and not contrived and forced.

I think you have definitely mastered alliteration. You even threw in rhyme and proximate rhyme as well. Yep, on to assonance and consonance!

Consonance???? Oh, now I have to get the dictionary out again! LOL, thank you so much, Teresa, for your wonderful review, I'm so glad you liked my poem. Assonance coming soon! :) Sandra xsx
Comment from Antoine Charlemaine
Assonance? Fiddlesticks. This is brilliant! I thought I was into Dr Seuss again: 'As their pens then pepper paper pleasantly, And literal links are littered languidly,
While connecting conversations candidly.'
Nothing absurd about this, Sandra. Very clever. I am in awe of your ability!!!

Thank you so much, Winslow! Loved your 'lines lined lineally' missed that one! I am watching out for everyone's alliteration, now, LOL. Now onto the 'assonance'! Thank you again, my friend. xsx Sandra

You pose a question... Have I just mastered alliteration?
Well, which version do you want to hear?...
1. This was a great, fun read and I enjoyed the humour in its truth.
2.No, I don't think you've quite got it nailed yet.
You decide.
And, hey, you're too pretty to be a nerd; so you are right there... no one can say you're a nerd. 'Cos you're not.

LOL, Sheila, I think I am a long way off nailing all the ins and outs of reviewing, the more I try, the more I think I'll just tell them what I like about the work I read. Too pretty????? LOL, I'm an old wrinkled woman! At least that's what my mirror tells me! But thank you sooooo much for the lovely compliment!
Thank you for the lovely review my friend!! :) Sandra
-
Well, at least you think when you write your reviews. I find the people who say:
Nice flow of words, pretty good...
Are all so annoying! If something is wrong - they should spit it out and say so. Then we will know that they have read the work, and it gives us an opportunity to improve.
Cheers
Nicole (not Sheila!)
LOL!
-
Where on earth did I get Sheila from??? Told you my brain leaks!! Sorry, Nicole. And I do agree with you about the reviewing. I can sometimes tell who a review is from without looking, they write the same things every time. :( It is as if they haven't even read it. xx
-
Agreed. I think some don't read - they just collect the points.
-
That's what I think. xx

Hi, Sandra, reminded me of peter piper picked a peck of pickled pepper- another tongue twister. Good use of alliterative language and rhyming. Hope your Saturday stint went off well. I had a phone call from another publisher today, they are putting me into an anthology for ten best poets, so had to find ten more poems on top of the ones I already have earmarked for my other book(s). Not enough time to write on top of all the reviewing etc. Most enjoyable as always. Fayex

WOW!!! Congratulations, Faye!! That is brilliant, I am so happy for you. Yes, mine went off really well, the Managers, (3 of them) liked my book and have kept copies of all of them to send to their main office, so fingers crossed! The kids were wonderful! Please let me know how you get on and when this book comes out. Where do you send your poems to? I've had some published in a few magazines, but that's about all with my poems.
Anyway, thank you for the lovely review, and I am really so pleased for you. :) Sandra

Thank you for your kind congrats, Sandra. There are a couple of different publishers I found on line and they mainly deal with poetry I think. I am still in the throes of getting them all ready. I am so glad the store has taken your books to look at, it sounds very promising. Bye, for now, Fayex
