who's a cleaver boy?
starry-eyed and wishful thinking
his dinky-pinky quickens winking
kinking out his dreamy needs
spitting out his seedy seeds
and drooling deeds come to pass
a jaded stopper from his arse

Hi EMP THE CRUD... SMILE)))))))))))).
And that just shows your true class... what a worm, someone who needs to speak anonymously like a scared, little girl... do you really believe this could enter my being? You, my pathetic excuse for a man, can take as many cheap shots as you want... not a problem.
Maybe one day, you'll come and visit me or maybe I can come and see you?

This is a great naani James.
Such a true and important message, and good use of assonance too.
Good luck in the contest (if it has happened yet)

Hi Mel,
a big thanks for the review, comments and well wishes for the contest... as it happens, the contest is over and I received my first placing in a site sponsored contest, a third... so I was really wrapped about that.
Hey, hoping to read a lot more posts from you, you've been missed... and really hope life's been treating you with the respect you deserve... stay well friend.

A philosophical truism. We are what we love and how we think. Positive thinking cannot help but encourage the soul of a mortal. Nothing was ever accomplished by one saying, I can't! I can see why this placed in the Naani contest. Congratulations! Blessings, Linda

Hi, James,
I am not an expert in formats and rules of poetry, so cannot comment in that. But I liked the message very much, really. This is the way I see life every day. I am positive and believe things will happen.
Good luck.

This is an exceptional write, James.
I love the clever brevity of it all.
There's a Cherokee tale I read on the internet a few days that talked about the power of the mind.
"
An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
"Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied,
"The one you feed."
"
I think our minds are as strong as we allow them to be. After all, they belong to ourselves.
Much respect and lots of hugs

Hi Sis,
love the wisdom you've shared with me... it's much like the tattoos I have on the top half of my back... two giant dragons facing each other... one red engulfed by flames standing firmly, grounded in anger... the other blue, calmly strong, surrounded by calming waters and gentle winds... yes, the battle that goes on inside nearly everyone of us... in the middle of them both is my Mantra, written in Tibetan... May I always fight the good fight with love, compassion, integrity, respect, forgiveness, courage honesty and faith... above that a five-sided pentagram that ties it all together... the five elements of our earth and my number... '5' all to keep my bad side under control... I know it's still there, and I will use it if necessary, but only with just cause... so as you see, very much like what you have so intuitively offered me with your native American fable... mmmmm lil Sis, what else does your insight tell you? Well anyway you know which Wolf I feed... for my mind is strong.
Thanks so much Amanda you are a shining light and one that lights my heart with much joy... nothing but love and respect for you.

Hey, big bro :)
Congrats on your placing for the contest!!! Was SO happy when I saw your name on the list. Naani is a very competitive contest. Bet hundreds of writers entered their work. Just shows how fantastic you are :)
I'm glad you liked the story. It's one of my favorites. Very wise stuff. I'm 100% sure your heart is full of faith, compassion, and all of the super duper awesome paragons of virtue.
It's cool that you have a tattoo. If I were to get one I would choose a double infinity symbol. It's pretty.
You're very welcome, James. You're da best!
Hope everything's well. Are you feeling better? I know the healing process is slow, but I really do hope all the treatments are working.
Huggies huggies

If we think we can't
Then we never will. .. hurrah and amen, my friend!
The battle is for the mind - I sincerely believe this. It's so much easier to see the glass as half empty instead of half full, isn't it? I wonder why.
Best wishes for the contest. (Not sure of the rules of the naani, so I'm not venturing to comment on form)
With our thoughts we create ... of course!
Take care, James. Hope the physio is helping.
Praying ... :)

Hi Sonali,
Nah, I'm definitely the glass is half-full sort of a guy... obstinate, stubborn, maybe... but positive, always.... mmmmmmmm, well almost always... smile))))))))))).
No, the form was in the range of the rules towards a nanni... wow, I've come so far since joining.
Yeah, may have to add my catch phrase to my next tattoo.
And yes, the physio is working... slowly, but there is improvement, so that's a win and I'll take any win as a step in the right direction... I reckon I'll be back in the pool, swimming in about two weeks the way I'm progressing, well at least I hope so... as always, thank you for the extra boost, the prayers have once again done their work... bless you.

Thanks Padumachitta, it's the only way I can operate... it's so easy to lose focus on the good side of life when all we see or hear is negative... so it's up to us to keep it positive with the thought we create... thank you so much for your wonderful review, it is appreciated.

Oh so TRUE ! The creative energy/power of thought with loving, positive, mindful intention creates miracles & healing on all levels. OUR FREEDOM to choose how to employ, "feed" our minds versus allowing them to rule our heart, soul & life through conditioned(hereditary) programming (brainwashing).
Lovely pic to complement poem which, no wonder, recognized as all time best - congratulations !

Hi Sue,
you have officially blown me away with your generosity and insight... everything you say is spot on... but in a way the programming can be used for good and not evil... just think what we could do with changed positive mind-set on a world scale? Mmmmmmm?
Thank you so very much for your support and encouraging review, you are very appreciated.
