Dear Cindy,
LOL. He is when he won't let Miss Spring arrive. In the fall he is not too bad a guy when he first makes his appearance but then he overstays his welcome.
Warm regards,
Winslow

This year he's been a real jerk. LOL Tons of snow and freezing temperatures. I'll be so happy when he finally packs his bags. Thanks for the stars and the great review.

I'm glad this already a six cause I'm out...Jack Frost isn't someone who visits here...cranky isn't close to my off putting temperament in intemperate cold. Jack's a huge pain in the neck that GROWS as it moves south on me.
Glad I caught this. Stay warm! :) Carrie

Yeah, cranky's pretty mild, but this is a family site, and I'm not sure the haiku rules would allow for my real opinion of Jack. LOL It's warmed up, but we're expecting more snow. Thanks for the great review.

Certainly, you're welcome. :) Carrie

You describe how many of us have fought to get through one of the worst winters on record. The tow-truck companies have made a fortune. Good luck in the contest. Bill

Yes, it's been an awful winter. It's warmed up a bit today, but there's more snow and the roads are scary. Thanks for the stars and the good wishes in the contest.

Oh, the joys of winter! Never mind! The daffodils are out and spring is on the way! Great pent-up anger and frustration here, directing against that scoundrel, Jack Frost. How I used to hate scraping car windows in the freezing cold before going to work. Perhaps that's why I migrated to Australia! :)

Oh, maybe I'll come and visit you until this winter is over! It's warmed up a bit today, but I had to sweep about a foot of snow off the car. Thanks for the stars.

The movie Jack Frost turned him into a killer. Cold weather can kill. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Good luck in your contest.

Glad you liked my poem. It's a bit warmer today, but I just shoveled a foot of new snow. Oh well, it has to warm up soon. Thanks for the stars and the good wishes for the contest.

This winter has got to be the record for poems either: observing, crying about, praying for spring, pounding the desk on the inequities of winter.
Am looking out my den window and it is still snowing - 6 inches with another 8 forecast.
I agree, Jack Frost is a jerk. Good Luck...AT=/

I hope I gave it a little touch of humor and didn't whine too much. Yep, it's still snowing. Thanks for the stars the and good luck wishes.

Hi Cindy,
Clever! You managed to work some rhyme in as well.
Oh, boy! Do I ever agree with the last line ...:)

I remember one winter, My car doors froze shut. I threw a pail of hot water on the car door and it opened fine. I got to work and couldn't get the door open, again. Finally I got the window to roll down, climbed out and fell into deep snow wearing my best suit. Hopefully no one was watching. Enjoyed your poem. It brought back memories. Best wishes.

Thanks for the review and the great story. I'm sure if anyone was watching, their sympathies were with you.

You are welcome. I feel like I give myself IQ tests everyday. That was not one of my better days.

I like it. I believe that this sentiment is shared by
a great number of people at this precise moment.
I can visualize you begrudgingly scrounging for change
In the sofa with a scarf hastily wrapped round your
chilled face. :)
