Easy rhymes and good flow make this poem a tourist guide to St. Louis. It sounds like the poem I wrote about Chicago.
I have been up in the Arch. I have 2nd cousins that live in St. Louis.

I like your poem about Gateway to the West. It makes me won't to hop on a plane and check it out. Nice AABB rhyme scheme to make it flow smoothly from start to finish. 8-)

St Louis has carved its way through history. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Good job.

This is a very nice and 'pride-driven' piece! I can see it on a welcome brochure of some sorts. Well written, great word choice and flow! Thanks for the share.

Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with west/best...game/fame. Good description and alliteration. The flow is consistent for the most part. Here and there you could take out a syllable or two for a better over all flow. The photo is great and the message is thought provoking. Good work.

Your arch is a good choice. Such an American icon--the gateway that led to the coast-to-coast destiny of our nation.
Good luck in the contest. The rules to this one seem pretty strict.
Peace, Lee

I am delighted the poem brought back good memories to you. I moved to St Louis as a teenager when the last piece was going into place. Awesome,
