simplyteresa: Oh, I could go on and on with this subject matter. . .but, we both already agree on "man cold" problems. It made me smile and chuckle and nod my head emphatically. Good write, here and a fantastic picture to enhance. livelylinda

:) You are lucky to have one that will tend to you when you are sick. I'm in a house full of men (boys if you ask me), I buy lots of Lysol this time of year. :)
Thank you so much for the great feedback and wonderful review :)

A very funny 5-7-5. I love those - no limit to imagination, and all wrapped in this short Japanese format. "Brevity that excludes extraneous", said Basho about these forms.
I laughed at this; as often people think they are dying, but it is a simple cold. I guess, having high temperature makes them prone to delusions (lol).
A very amusing write.

oh yeah, poor guys, they all think they're going to DIE and demand huge amounts of sympathy and, unfortunately, up close & personal HUGS (IKKY!) You've got it all here in your 5-7-5! :)S

Oh, I loved your picture and your words. I have noticed that when a man get sick, he is still a little boy, and for them it is the end of the world, if its us, we still have to take care of everything. LOL I so loved this one, Blessings and good luck in the contest.

Hi Teresa,
If it was your intention to write a funny 5/7/5 poem you have accomplished that. My late husband was like the man you describe here. If I had a cold he was sure he had pneumonia! Love this poem and good luck in the contest....blessings, chey

Chey, :) thank you. This was a fun little one to write and my husband did get a good (out loud) laugh so I was pleased. We work together, but somehow I have used very few sick days, he has used tons, hehe.
Thank you for the great feedback I always enjoy your reviews.

Teresa

Hi there, this is hilarious (and so true in many cases, isn't it?). In any case, I like the rhyme between the first and second lines... because of that though I feel the last line is hanging out there a bit awkward. I'm not sure if that's why... hmmm... I'll ponder this a bit more, if I can add clarity I will come back. Either way, great topic for a poem!!

Your poem made me smile :-)
Recently my 17yr old son has had a cold or "Man Flu" as he called it. He told me it was a real ailment and I definitely should look it up in a dictionary, to which I replied, It must have been a man who put it there then! :-) xxx
