Great anti-war poem, Michael. Well written and with a great message that conflict is destructive and we should resolve differences peacefully. Best wishes mate, Pete :)

I could actually hear a tune in my head as I was reading this one my friend- that does not happen often but my breath always catches when music accompanies a piece- very well done
Thank you

You really captured the essence of why men go to war. It takes a sincere belief that one is doing the right thing to go off and kill other humans. Well done, Lou

A very interesting poem and when I read it I enjoyed it very much. How you masterfully combined the inner sanctum's of the many wars and the soldiers who lost their lives in the many wars that they fought. And also mentioning the victims of those wars. You covered the bases of why wars so non-becoming too antiwar activists. Thank you for sharing such a very interesting and audible poem. You have a good one and God bless.

I love your style. You are a thinker and your poetry has so many layers to it.
This is magnificently portrayed- a pile of dead superiority.
You get right into the crux of the senselessness and the hatred that propels war.

War is a horrible thing, but have always been and will always be. However some we didn't need to be in. I liked your style and the flow was good..I understood the pain and what war does to a man or woman..

I like the free flow expression of this piece and how it really shows the stupidity of man who has a limited life span yet is determined to make it shorter through war. What a waste and the sad thing about it at the core of it is religious beliefs, that I believe in no way reflect who God is, but who the devil is.
