A child learning in her sleep28 total reviews

You make my heart and my soul beat, I like the inspiration that you put in this poem, all children have the curiosity to know things more and more, badly or good.
But they will learn some day to be in some boundaries for their goods.

Wow! such a cute poem. I loved the picture too!It goes very well with the title and the poem. It is suitable for every child before going to bed. What an imagination! Since,I am a child, I can read between the lines. Its very comforting.

This is a lovely poem to be spoken to every little girl before she goes off to dreamland. It paints beautiful word pictures with vivid nouns and verbs imbuing calm and peace. The meter and rhyme are gentle and flowing, adding to the feel of the poem. Seems like this piece would be perfect as lyrics to a lullaby.
The chosen artwork is perfect for the poem---whichever one came first, it works.

Actually this little girl looks just like my Great Granddaughter Monique. I am writing a series of six poems for her. This was the first. I have written four. Thank you very much for the review. Honeycomb

I think this was a beautiful piece. You paint a lovely picture in homage to the one you chose for display. Great job with this vivid and sleepy write.

You're right - it is a great picture.
Come here, darling - add comma for direct address
strong use of rhyming couplets
lovely and inviting descriptive detail
nice alliteration in buzzing of a bumblebee
and in learn what life
This is a wonderfully thoughtful lullaby :-) Brooke

Thanks for the heads up Brooke. I always miss something and (thank you very much) you are the one who finds the mistakes!
I fixed it. I should leave the comma after darling too, right?
Thank you so much for the review. Nancy

There's no doubt, you should be (if not already) published. I would imagine a children's book of bedtime poems. The preamble should read;
"Hush baby there's no cause to weep.
An angel watches as you sleep.
So dream your dreams as you recall
the wonder of the things you saw."
That is a powerful message and a loving thing to say to a child at bedtime. Your thoughts are so purely tender.
