I am amazed your children's poems everyone to deserve to be read in every child's home and school. So educational teaching first homework, then play. Nature and how life awakes every day. All the best and God Bless

You have just read the Circus Comes to Hedgerow... haven't you, this was where Millie got her idea from, lol. You are very kind in your reviews, and I am absolutely delighted that you have enjoyed reading my Hedgerow poems. I do tend to write more for youngsters. Unfortunately, when I look at the children's sections on the bookshelves, children would probably think my stories too childish with not enough action in them now. I have self-published 11 of these poem-stories in one illustrated book and have loads more Hedgerow poems on here that I haven't done anything with. Unless a big publisher picks you up, you really don't stand a chance out there with the big names. Thank you, again, for your wonderful reviews. :) Sandra x

This is very well written. I like the rhyme scheme and it is certainly appealing to children in its easy to read form and rhyming. I found it a tad hard to concentrate reading this as it would take me a few reads to understand what is going on in the story and I think children might lose focus but it is certainly written very well! It is polished and eloquent. I like the characters you've created. And a story about a squirrel is sure to capture attention. Perhaps a bit too wordy but overall it is clever and fun. Keep writing.

Thank you, resilke, for this lovely review. I understand what you are saying, I am trying to get this book together with lots of illustrations, perhaps one every 2 stanzas. I have 10 of them written now, and another 5 started. I am not an illustrator, but am on the lookout for one! Thank you again, for reviewing and reading. xsx

Sandra, this is such a wonderful story to read and enjoy. The whimsicalness of it is quite enchanting with these three characters. Millie and Vicky wanting to do what miss toad was doing in the circus and Cyril.
I enjoyed reading this chapter. I also need to go back to the beginning to catch up with this book.
Well done my friend,,,,,,Jim

Sandra, what a wonderful poem. I wish I had a six to extend to you, its quite deserving. I have been off FS for about six months and am starting to make my way back. This is one of the reasons I want back in. I now have to go back and read the other chapters to this book. I am going to "tag" you as one of the fans I follow so I can get your posts first hand. Is that alright with you?

I enjoyed reading your children's poem. It was entertaining and well written and the characters were having so much fun with a little excitement and drama in play. Your artwork choice enhances your poem.

Again--your narrative poems are wonderful--well-written, fanciful, delightful. I can't imagine any child not loving them--or any adult!

Sandra,
Your story poem is delightfully written and your words paint superb imagery in the readers head. The art work is adorable you used. In your story poem you used excellent personification, great rhyme, great alliteration usage and very good descriptive scheme. I enjoyed your lines: "Cyril the squirrel was such a nice boy And did what they asked, so they could enjoy The sun in their face and the cool of the breeze And the thrill they would feel on their flying trapeze. Then it was finished, they were raring to go, They held on to the rope as it swung to and fro." I immensely enjoyed your well scribed children's poem because I'm a kid at heart. I'd recommend your charming story poem to other readers. Thanks for sharing your poetic jewel. Please have a blessed day.
