Your very welcome.

Lovely again, I enjoyed it just as much as the last one I read. I'm going to be really picky now
"Then for breakfast we'll give her a real special treat"
For me this is too cumbersome, what about
"For breakfast then her special treat" or
"For breakfast then we'll give her a treat"?
The same with the last line, could you leave off the "Oh"
"My goodness, you've made me my own rocking chair"
Apart from those little quibbles it's a poem I would love to
read to my grandchildren.

Thank you, Hollyhock, I most certainly will go in and look at those lines again. My next one, which is called, 'The Circus Comes to Hedgerow Village,' really needs someone like you to look it over, I think you would give me an honest appraisal which I know will be needed on it. I really appreciate your comments and I am glad you liked it, thank you. Sandra. xsx

What an incredibly cute poem. Your rhymes were awesome and the story flowed so lovingly down the page. I really enjoyed this a lot, and regret not having a six for you.

You certainly have a unique gift when it comes to writing for children. This one is no exception and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this lively and humorous poem. There are not many people who can do what you do and you make it appear so easy!

So cute. This is really poetry at its very best. Children the world over (and some adults) would die for this poetry. Are you considering publishing it? You should!!

I admire and respect so much the people like yourself who can think up special things that are somewhat ordinary and turn them into the extraordinary. Awesome work. xoxo Kiwi

What a sweet poem! The story itself is charming and it's written in a lovely, lilting rhythm that flows throughout the poem from beginning to end. On top of all that, you've managed to write the entire thing in rhyming couplets, which is quite an accomplishment. Thanks for a lovely read this evening. I certainly enjoyed it.

Aww, this is sweet. I'm trying to imagine a wee rocking chair for a mouse. :-) Your poems are probably intended for little people but I seem to get a lot of enjoyment out of them myself! Hey, I'm 52, but I'm still my Mom's kid. :-)
Lovely poem. :-)

'Oh my goodness, you've made me my own rocking chair!'... absolutely delightful! Children's poetry is an area I have dabbled in but mine were never so joyfully expressed as what you have created here! Loved it... hugs, Jack xxxxxx
