I like the open ending here. Is she again beautiful and following the one who granted her request for returned youth, or is she simply fading into her past--maybe crossing over? Don't give me the answer--I like playing with the possibilities! Great imagery and tone--you develop the character quickly and in a believeable way. She is real and thinks like a real woman. Nicely rendered.

I tried the same open-ended concept with a flash fiction piece and don't think it was all that well liked. Oh well, sometimes we writers write to amuse outselves. It IS nice when we do get a receptive audience though, lol.

Wow Anne!~ Thank you so much. I am always SO happy to see you enjoy my stories. I had to move and it took over 90 days to get situated, a new pc and all. We lost a dog in the process and I just released an essay about him. Thank you again and I hope you are doing okay too! HUGS!! Susan

I loved this one, Sue. Wow, it's good to read something of yours again. The only thing I might question, because honestly it's fabulous, is the word "listlessly" for the mirror ... I don't know why that doesn't quite connect for me because I completely "get it". Again, I LOVED it!!!

Hi Barbara! I am so happy to hear from you and thank you so much for taking time for me. I hope to start reading and reviewing more now, moving has drained me in all ways. Mentally, physically, and financially too. It's been over 90 days. I rode my horse for the first time since LAST fall, yesterday. Our dog has separation anxiety too.
