I can see you spent a but of time with this one. It's a much easier read, flowed better and made clearer sense. I could sense your excitement over these bands you mentioned. Keep writing and keep your passions alive. and congratulations being recognized.

Harry,
This is a great poem about your Indie music. I have no idea who all of them are. This poem is well organized and flows nicely from beginning to end.
Well done

Not offended in the least. I'm and "oldies" fan and love some soothing blues. I enjoy John Williams and sound tracks of some of the movie scores he wrote. I'm afraid I don't know Indie rock music at all. But....I'll defend forever your right to eat, pray, love your Indie Rock. (smiling)
Blessings

Great poem. You name so many groups, most of whom I've never heard. But every group you named probably has musicians as good as those in famous bands. But these guys haven't been lucky enough to find that elusive break. Keep at it guys.

-Good artwork, Harry,
your notes are appreciated.
-I don't know very much
about Indie rock so I guess
I will learn something.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-A very good opening verse.
-Good specific detail about R.E.M.
I do know a few of their songs.
-You do a good job with the poem.

I am glad you have things that feed your soul. Music calms us, raises us up, and gives background to our lives. Where would we be without it. Have a grand week. Karen

There's an infectious joy in this piece, Harry.
You can really feel how much you love the music you're writing about. That kind of enthusiasm is always fun to read, and it carries the poem along with a great sense of rhythm and personality.
The casual, almost spoken-word style works well here, and the band name-dropping isn't just for show-it paints a picture of someone who genuinely lives and breathes indie music.
That said, a bit of tightening could take this to the next level.
Some of the rhymes are a little on the nose ("trendy"/"Indie", "know"/"show") and a few lines feel like filler to keep the rhyme going. Nothing wrong with keeping it loose, but a slight polish would sharpen the flow and let your voice shine even more.
Still, this is a fun, nostalgic, and honest ode to the music that moves you. It doesn't need to be deep-it just needs to vibe, and it definitely does that.
Full of passion and playlist energy-a lively shoutout to the bands that shape a life.

HI Harry, trust me when I say...I don't
believe you offend anyone my sweet
friend...different strokes...for different
different folks...
I did go listen to some songs by The Ocean Blue...
their a very instrumental band...and on a day
when your taking a trip somewhere...would
be perfect music to put the pedal to the medal...
or just keep you awake...I'm listening to the
song ...Between Something and Nothing...and
heard the song Drifting and Falling...upbeat...
I used to work a bowling alley years ago...my bosses
son was the manger of the group Survivor...they wrote
the song Eye of the Tiger...and they used to play at the
Rosemont Horizon in Chicago...
so they met a lot of different bands there...after the bands finished
playing...Rick (Survivors manger) had his dad close the bowl
late into the night...and different bands/singing artist would
come there to unwind...on March 6th 1989 I met R.E.M...as well
as I had met REO Speed Wagon...Rush (many times)...Garth Brooks...
and so many more...Survivors used to practice in the bowls basement...
where did those days go...
I love your poem...and Thank You for sharing that part of your
life with us...very well written...perfect picture...love Linda xxoo

Hi Harry, surprising enough...
most weren't as loud in person...as they were on stage...those were days
never forgotten...so very welcome you...

I'm still not sure what indie music is and maybe it's because I'm all over with my music likes. One minute I'm listening to Bobby Daren, next I'll play the Woodstock albums, to Fleetwood Mac to Billy Joel, to the Platters and Johnny Mathis..,
I did enjoy your poem which is well conceived and written.
