This is a frustrating ending for Garth, but Jack was paying better attention. He realized someone would have met Zhang, perhaps someone with more power that the evil Zhang. This is a good ending as most of the really bad guys are dead. Unfortunately, as Jack knows, evil never dies. There is always someone to take a dead villains place. Wonderful job writing this entertaining and addictive story.

Yes I certainly have enjoyed every chapter, Carol and I like the ending with Jack realising that there was still a missing piece, and he noticed it. Well done, cheers

Poor Garth, with everything that has transpired somehow Zhang escaped apprehension, escaped the justice waiting him. But there is a greater justice, that will take an eternity to play out. Everything is now neat and tidy, the family's back together, now building and writing a chapter. Well done Carol, you've left it open. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

I didn't read this last night, I so wanted to give the last chapter a six. But you have a prologue, and so you know now, I will read and review that on Sunday if you post before. This was such a fabulous chapter, you wrote the details leading up to that final moment perfectly. The pacing, as always, was spot on. The ending. Poor Garth! That sneaky Zhang did get the last win. But who is in that black sedan, and how did that man that Jack spotted manage to infiltrate the Met Police? Yes, a prologue is definitely needed. Can't wait. And there will be another book! Yes! Well done, my friend. You need to start sending the first book to the publishes and get a contract for the whole lot, with more to come. Brillian! xxxxx Love you lots. Sandra xx

So who was that guy who escaped? And what's happened to all the women held captive? And who has inherited the vineyard now? So many questions still, but I expect they will all be tied up in the Epilogue? Meanwhile, congratulations on finishing this complex and mammoth accomplishment! Your mind must never rest, with all the stories flowing through. Well done.

You always add the unexpected to each chapter. I was waiting to see how you described Zhang's expressions when he saw Garth was waiting for him. I didn't expect someone to warn Zhang before he got off the plane. You kept all of us on a wild ride through every chapter. A heck of a lot happened, but there was a happy ending for Mathew, Jenna, Maggie, and Eleanor. I'm looking forward to the epilogue.
I guess the unanswered questions surrounding Alex Garland and Rosalie Jarvis will be in the next novel.

This was an almost a perfect ending. You left cowboy hang and mad.
I found 1 typo:
Garth grabbed the front of (Shang's) jacket, clutching it with all his might. He screamed, "Don't you die on me."-(Zhang's)
