I'm getting a little behind again but I don't want to miss any of these chapters. Miranda is crazy about Mitch but that doesn't stop her from getting upset with him for doing everything by the book. It is interesting that Terrence came in to find to find out what the police knew.
I enjoyed her interacion with Aaron. They have a neat relationship.

She is like a big sister to Aaron. He has a tiny crush on her, but understands nothing can come of it. Thank you for this. Gretchen

The two beautiful sides of Miranda - tough when she has to be, soft and gooey for anyone who needs love and assurance. You've depicted her well while still carrying the story along at a good pace. Well done, Gretchen. xoxo

Thank you. Sometimes I have to remember she practices tough love, but knows when softness is needed. Thank you for the second star. Gretchen

Miranda is a good listener and she will make a good psychotherapist and a mentor .She has the ability to make people listen to her .I have a feeling that you are like Mirands?

The sheriff seems like he has the ability to investigate others and not just the alive and unconscious man found at the location of the murder. Miranda makes a suggestion he can follow up on, and helps Aaron feel a lot better about himself.

Gretchen, This is a very well written chapter. You used great descriptive words and very good dialogue. I am so sorry I have missed so many chapters. I don't get to be online as much as I would like to. Thanks for sharing. love and blessings, Teri

Miranda probably would make a good therapist. She is very wise and has a good read on people. I loved the fact that she didn't let Mitch intimidate her with his annoyance, but told him to cool his jets. And then her advice to Aaron was spot on. Why waste time trying to gain the respect and please someone who you, yourself, don't respect and who doesn't deserve it? I love her friendship with Aaron.

What Mitch said is probably true--that he doesn't have the same latitude Miranda might have in chasing down clues, but must do it more by the book, but he should work with her since she isn't quite as constrained.

This was very engagingly written, Gretchen. I always look forward to your new chapters.

I must admit I had a dad who I had to minister to, like Aaron, my best friend's dad was my opening batting partner, captain and mentor, so perhaps I understand Aaron well, I think I had one or two older female friends like you, who were good to me. Mitch and Miranda are going to have relational difficulties, but Miranda's difficult, but the woman he needs, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank you for sharing this addition with us. I'm know Mitch was frustrated, but I'm glad he's following through for Miranda. She knows Dougie isn't guilty because of who he is. Mitch doesn't know him. Great write.

Aww, bless him. Miranda is good for him. Why parents do that to their children, I don't know, but it totally gets up my nose. MIranda has sorted it though. :)).
Terrence Evanoff paid Mitch a visit? Now that sets my cogs working. Is he looking for information because of his mother? I still wonder if she killed Tomlin. I wouldn't blame her if she'd discovered he was doing things with her son. Another great chapter, my friend, :)) Sandra xxx

I'm glad Miranda stood up to Mitch, who may be just a tad jealous. Miranda is insightful, and Mitch needs to harness her intuition and observations. And yes, she 's not only good with Waylon, but a valued supportive person for Aaron as well. Realistic dialogue and background setting (even the little things like snapping open the new garbage bags).
Well done.
Wendy
