Hello Gretchen,
Miranda seems like a tough cookie, I hope she doesn't let any soft talk from Dougie cause a lapse in her memory of how things used to be. As always, another good chapter gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

She won't fall for Dougie's shenanigans again. She wants him cleared so he will get out of her life. And, she doesn't want Waylin hurt. Thank you so much. Gretchen

Miranda is in a hard spot with Dougie. He wants her back and she doesn't want him that way, but she feels compelled to help him. I hope it doesn't affect her relationship with Mitch.

Great chapter, the story is moving right along.

Now, we know Dougie remembers something about what happened that night. Of course, having a hammer in his hand does bode well for his case. I'm betting on Miranda being able to get to the bottom of this. I love the story.

Dougie's starting to fill in details now as Miranda gets closer to solving the crime. Was the fact that he revealed about a screaming kid new information, or was that in a previous chapter, Gretchen? I don't remember it if it was. That might be a big clue if it's true.

I enjoyed the way Miranda lectured Dougie about parenting and maturity, and he, perhaps reluctantly, agreed she was right. As much of a heel as he is, there's still something endearing about the guy. I like the way you give us mixed feelings about him.

Dougie is that one guy we all know who gets on our nerves but we just can't cut out of our lives. Love him and hate him. Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Gretchen

Miranda really has changed, a relationship with someone like Dougie, couldn't possibly be easy, so Miranda has changed, she must have had a poor self image, but raising kids is a very sobering experience, it's amazing what love can do, beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

Miranda never thought she was deserving of a nice guy. She was a giver and took what ever they had leftover. She has definitely changed. Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen

Miranda is such a well rounded character and we see her at her best here, trying to do what's right and get information from Dougie without upsetting or distressing him. She, at least, has an important detail to take back to Mitch, a kid who was alive being forced out of the car.
You're even prettier than he (led) me to believe.
Thank you for sharing your intriguing story, Gretchen. Take care Debbie

I'm glad Miranda was strong enough to remind Dougie that they are not a couple. I am positive Miranda will, maybe with Mitch's help solve this murder and mystery. We now have another child involved.

Very much enjoying this story.
Good. She knows a few more details, and she will cnnect the dots. And she has been very clear with Dougie that she's moved on, without him. Looking forward to seeing who that kid is, and most of all who did it! Well written.
Wendy

Miranda played that perfectly, going to wash her hands so she didn't have to hold Dougie's. But that what quite a revelation. He hadn't forgotten, and now we know Tomlin was already dead, we are left with wondering who did it? I think it was a mother. She'd found out what Tomlin was doing and a mother's rage is unequaled when it comes to something like that. It won't be easy for Miranda to prove Dougie didn't do it. No mother/father is going to own up to killing him. All great stuff, Gretchen! Now to see what Miranda can do without upsetting Mitch. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Of course, Miranda will upset Mitch. She is all action and he is all thinking and waiting. But they seem to be perfect together. Thank you so much for the wonderfully encouraging review and the extra star. Gretchen
