Oh my word Jim,
that was outstanding. Isn't that just like real life- the rustling of paper, people blocking out the view? That was exciting for sure. I can't sit here any longer tonight, but I'll get caught up with the story soon. Well done my friend.

We never know when there might come a little more excitement than we are looking for or a type that we truly might be looking to happen. LOL. But we can be sure that it will always snap us to attentions and put our imaginations in play. Thanks for sharing. It's been over 2-months since I've been gone and out action and it appears it's going to be a couple more weeks. But I'm still trying to keep up. Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps a bit more than Dana bargained for, to be sure, but she did pretty well, all things considered. Fortunate for that distraction at the end, though.

Thanks so much, valda. Nothing ever seems to go quite as easily as we envision. Seems like Dana may have been made, but we'll see in the next chapter if there's still hope for this mission.

Then you had all the interference and the disturbance on the other table. At last, it seemed as though they were going before the bombshell was dropped and Rudy recognised Dana. If that wasn't bad enough, you threw in this shooting which, at least, enabled everyone to disperse. I'm not surprised Dana was shaking by the end. I think I might well have been doing the same. A great ending, too, as we wonder who this speaker behind is - Fran, perhaps. I loved this, Jim! It's packed with drama, suspense and excitement all conveyed in faultless prose, captivating and hooking the reader in for next time. Proper story-telling at its best! Take care Debbie

In my manuscript, I don't really stop the chapter there but reveal who it is because I figure no one would leave it where I did here and stop reading. But that's the beauty of writing for FanStory. You can leave it as a cliff hanger for next time.
Hopefully the recording isn't too garbled, and there's enough there for a wiretap warrant. Thanks again for a wonderful review and those 6 stars too.

This chapter is very enjoyable! The tension builds beautifully! The dialogue between Spangler and Israel feels natural. The ending leaves me on edge wondering what's coming next. I love the pacing and the way you include Dana's internal thoughts with the action. Great work!
