Hi Jim,
another great chapter. I've never heard that joke before- it was funny. That was a pretty close call. Situations like that always unnerve me when I see something like that happen on TV. I don't have the intestinal fortitude to get involved in anything where I could get caught. That's not all bad I suppose. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

Thanks very much, Tom. Not sure I would have the intestinal fortitude either, but Dana seems to thrive on it. It really gets put to the test in the next chapter.

It sounds like Dana and Fran have a well-rehearsed plan with the flower basket. However, it sounds risky. It might look suspicious if Dana just happens to be at the restaurant at the same time as the meeting. They may not know she has a listening device, but they could wonder if she was spying. Can't wait for Monday afternoon.

Yep, the best laid plans... I think we all know it won't go perfectly smoothly. Will Dana be able to survive it without having her cover blown? You'll find out Monday... maybe.

It sounds like they are setting another insect trap for another unscrupulous dealer in drugs, I wonder just how low white collar crime can sink. They make the average car theft or burglar look very mundane indeed, beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. That's the whole idea. Get that wiretap so they can see what's undoubtedly coming and maybe prevent it.

Jim,

This is another wonderful addition to your book. Things are starting to heat up and if I was Dana I would be nervous. She doesn't seem to be though.

Great job my friend

Cecilia

Thank you, Cecilia. She comes across as pretty cool, but she's still an amateur, and I'll bet she's still a bit nervous about it. She loves the thrill, though.

.The sunflower basket with the microphone is a great idea, Jim, 'cause who doesn't love sunflowers. Loved Fran's joke too. Another good read, Jiim. well done,

Well I certainly learnt some things about surveillance and parabolic microphones here, Jim. And I like the idea of them trying out the equipment in preparation. With all the instructions from Fran, I felt sure there was going to be a disguise involved for Dana because, surely, this could be quite a risk ...and it would potentially add even more colour to the story. But everything is building up nicely, so hopefully there'll be no hitches. Like the joke by the way:) Thank you for sharing another impressively researched and well-written chapter, Jim. Take care Debbie

A disguise probably would have been a good idea, although that would have spoiled the next chapter if they didn't recognize her :)

Nothing ever goes perfectly smoothly, though does it? (Spoken as one who has tried many DIY projects at home.)

Thanks for your great comments, Debbie. I hope you'll enjoy the next chapter when things go a bit awry.

Dana's sleuthing seems to be going well. She discovers when the boss might be talking to his head of security and gets Fran to bring her a recording device. She is all set for the next phase in the investigation.

The next chapter will show this device in use. I hope you find it exciting, Carol.

This is another excellent chapter. One challenge is completed, and another one begins. That keeps the story interesting. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Yes, we're pretty much done with the plant spraying adventure, and the remainder of the story will be involved with Big Pharma's harassment. Marie will join the plot eventually.

I'm wondering if they won't notice Dana at the restaurant. Rudy knows her. Won't it seem strange if she's there too? I can't wait to read more and see what happens. Great job.

Thanks, Barbara. Oh, you know they will notice her there. Nothing ever goes smoothly. Let's see how well she can make it seem believable.

Yes, sometimes it's better to just keep our mouths shut and say nothing, and this certainly seems like the perfect time. LOL. Although, most times we aren't that quick thinking. Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes it takes great restraint not to say anything, but often that's the best course, especially when all the facts aren't out yet.
