That was really tense. Everyone knew Cornelius was there, and know what that meant. No one is safe. They have to get Miriam out of the mirror. They still have to find Maggie, and get rid of that evil Zhang, he'll probably join forces with Cornelius. I'm glad Amelia is safe with her 'gramma' that's lovely. Now I have to rush of to the next chapter! Loved this one. :)) Sandra xxxxxx

That was really tense. Everyone knew Cornelius was there, and know what that meant. No one is safe. They have to get Miriam out of the mirror. They still have to find Maggie, and get rid of that evil Zhang, he'll probably join forces with Cornelius. I'm glad Amelia is safe with her 'gramma' that's lovely. Wow, I can almost feel the evil from Cornelius. If Eleanor is wary, that can't be good. I like your descriptions, including several good metaphors to show the reader the scene. This is a dark chapter. I hope it doesn't get worse. Blessings. Carol

Each of your characters were so intimately described I could feel the frisson of tension and purpose between them. Cornelius has never felt as evil as here...

This is a more ghostly chapter although Eleanor is the only ghost on the scene. The threat of Corneilius is there however as Leonore is forced to abandon the only home she has known for much of her life.

It will be difficult to get rid of Cornelius - but they are wise to all get out together and while they can. Amelia has suffered too much trauma already, let's hope she can find security and comfort with Lenore. Another riveting chapter, and there is quite a lot more to come, while the search for Zhang continues.
