The idea that his family could be at risk from these drug companies would be a worry for Brian, not one he had thought of. Dana seems to be enjoying herself, perhaps a bit too much confidence. Interesting times to come, I;m sure.
good chapter, Jim.
cheers

Thanks, valda. I hope you'll enjoy the ride. This final third of the story will be a lot more intense and action-filled.

I'm not sure how I got behind, but I did. This is another brilliant installment, Jim. I am happy to see that no whole plants with roots were found during the confiscation. Big Pharma is ruthless though, and I'm sure this won't stop them.

I hope Dana knows what she's getting herself into. This sounds like it could get dangerous. I'm intrigued.

Great work, my friend.
God bless,
Steve

Thanks so much, Steve. Dana seems to thrive on the challenge. If she can just work with Fran a little more than in the past, she'll be better off. I'll be concentrating a lot on this next episode with Big Pharma which will drive the action to the end of the story. Still 1/3 of the way to go.

This is exciting, I just finished the next chapter and will have to wait again. But it's worth the wait.

Jim,

This is story is moving right along. It seems Dana is really getting into her role as an undercover for the FBI. Hopefully, when she gets to Atlanta she can have a role that will help the FBI out. I guess time will tell.

Well done my friend

Cecilia

Thanks, Cecilia. Yes, Dana certainly has a lot of enthusiasm for the job. Who knows? Maybe she'll apply to be an FBI agent someday? Wouldn't that be cool to have a 58-year-old rookie?

She will definitely have a role to play when she gets to Atlanta.

It would, but don't they have an age cut-off?
reply by the author on 26-Feb-2025
Probably they do. Not sure she could pass the physical part of the training anyway.

I like the intricate way you've written this post. With the interplay of the characters and the plot woven likewise intricately. People like Merra don't seem to possess any scruples, I don't know if there's any degrees of naughtiness, but I'm pretty sure on the integrity this is really lacking. It seems health can be compromised in favour of contributing to health disorders, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. You ain't seen nothin' yet when it comes to the scruples of some of these Big Pharma folks. The next batch are far worse than Merra.

Hi Jim,
I'm way behind in reviewing lately. I just can't seem to find the time right now. I really enjoyed this post, as well as the last one that I didn't comment on. I hope Dana doesn't step into something she can't handle. I would imagine that big pharma wouldn't mind playing dirty if lots of money were involved. I can't fathom people being willing to do anything for money. It's kind of scary. Keep up the good work buddy.
Blessings,
Tom

Thanks so much, Tom. No worries about the reviewing. I'm just happy you're continuing to enjoy the story.

Dana is pretty crafty, and with Fran's guidance this time, I've got an interesting escapade in mind for her now. I'll be ratcheting up the intimidation and the tension quite a bit with this new company.

This is another excellent chapter. You are moving the story along nicely. I look forward to seeing what happens with those plants. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thanks so much, Lee. We'll find out soon enough with some breaking news about Dipraxa.

I hope Dana knows what she is doing. If another company gets phonetapped so soon after her arrival, they will know immediately who is responsible. Good that the plants are destroyed, but there is doubtless a backlog of the prvious ones stioll out there on the streets. It' a bit like Pandora's box, trying to contain a bad drug once it's escaped.

I think Dana will probably take Fran's lead this time. This will be a quite different situation since Dana is new at the company and won't have had time to establish any kind of relationship or trust with her new boss. A hint to establishing the phone tap comes with Fran's statement about Georgia being a one-party consent to record state.

There is always something happening on the inside of everything, it's just that by the time all the information comes out, it's too late to change much. Thanks for sharing.

Right, you are, Ric. However, Dana relishes her new role as a whistleblower, and, with Fran's help, maybe this time will be an exception. Stay tuned.

Alright, Dana! She has become an asset to the FBI but I don't trust Merra. Is he only pretending to be nice? I guess his cryptic message when he was arrested makes sense to pass the baton. Hope our intrepid ladies stay safe!

He actually does put in a good word with Gideon Pharmaceutical for Dana. We're done with Merra in this story now and moving on to a more formidable pair of bad guys who take things up to a much higher level.

Fran and her brother possibly destroyed the Chinese ability to make more dip, but they still may have a large stock to sell. Now Fran has to warn Brian that the arrest of one drug company VP may mean that one is unlikely to give him any more trouble, but there are others who could endanger him and his family. Dana is changing her employer and Fran is very pleased.

You made a good observation, Carol. It may take a few months for the new stuff to hit the streets, but it seems like once it does, even if there's still untainted stuff, they won't be able to sell much after all the reports of people getting sick from it. We'll see.

Correct about Newman-Price not giving any more trouble, but a new one is likely to pick up where they left off. We'll get to see if Dana is equally useful down in Georgia now.

If a drug addict likes something, they will use it even if it is killing them with fentylne.
