Garth continues to be thwarted in his wish to rescue Rebecca by so many others needing his help. They have found part of the collapsed tunnel but the women are behind a stone wall. Some of the women are rescuing themselves but some are too afraid to do anything.

I can only imagine the desperation felt by the women trapped in the tunnel. They will have no idea if whether or not they can trust these men. You built on their fears really well here, Carol. Another excellent read. I really enjoyed it.

Yes, there were two groups....The first ones were in the cages and the second batch were being brought in through another tunnel when it collapsed.

Tanngo is a steadying influence for Garth's frustration and anger at himself and his fear of not getting to Rebecca in time, while for the women it is a matter of getting out of their hell hole. A chapter full of tension and drama that you portray so well Carol.

Tango, Poppa and Garth have been together through many of my stories, long before the Eleanor stories even. They work well together balancing wach other.

Another fabulous chapter to your book. It appears some of the women aren't very smart staying in the tunnels with it getting ready for a total collapse.
I am a wee bit claustrophobic and would be having a panic attack at this point.

I think they think they are safer with the men who are coming then the unknown ahead...I would be having a panic attack too.

Good chapter! With many of the women coming out, and the men moving inwards, I hope they meet each other soon. That rising water isn't helping any of the women, and it poses a huge threat to those who did not climb out. Blessings. Carol

AT least when Garth's team breaks through, they will be saved and rushed out of the tunnel. Thankful it wasn't the smugglers.

If I remember correctly, these are the girls who were trapped in cells where Rebecca and Travis were. The other girls were in another part of the tunnel with the traffickers. They were rescued. There are so many things happening, I don't want to get mixed up, because we have a ways to go. See you in the next chapter.
