I would feel exactly like Maria!
How can she wrap her head around ghosts?
The women are found, Maria is perplexed but senses Eleanor's intent is only to help.
Now Garth needs to find Rebecca!
I must hurry forward and read the next chapter!

You've been a very busy lady...reading this and watching the super bowl. And yes, Maria, who has been through hell will find it difficult to accept the idea of ghosts. But then I think most of us would.... except maybe you and me. LOL

This chapter let me stop holding my breath. The women were saved. What I liked most in this chapter was Maria's reaction to Antonio being dead, and having a difficult time believing in ghosts. You described exactly how a real person would feel surrounded by ghosts. I also liked that Maria kept thinking about the trapped women, and what was happening to them. I like who Eleanor is becoming. She solves problems, but she also brings calm and peace.

Fortunately, the rescuers broke through when the women had gained control of the situation. Maria is terrified of Anthonio when she realizes he is a ghost but is calmed by Eleanor until Eleanor admits she is not alive either, but that ghosts aren't all bad.

I thought her reactions to this was done really well. I just spotted one error here, ""No., this can't be." She took a staggering step back. "This isn't real." There's a full stop that needs to be removed after no. Another excellent piece, Carol, I really enjoyed it.
