One little punctuation fix. A sentence got divided. ..but before she could speak again, another voice spoke... don't even know if it needs a comma...?
Eleanor gritted her teeth, but before she could speak again.
Another voice spoke. "That's a lie," Antonio said coldly.
...and this part, as a great lover of words and their power, I adored.
It was not in English or any language that Travis recognized. But it wrapped around them, weaving through the trees, sinking into the fire's crackling rhythm. Each word carried a magic of its own.

That was a great confrontation between these three spirits, Carol. I could easily visualise that scene and then the emotions were really heightened as travis returned with help. I don't know where this comes from Carol, but well done. Cheers

Cornelius really is a character with no morals. The tension between him and Eleanor was done really well in this scene, Carol and I could really feel Maria's fear. This is another excellent read, I really enjoyed reading it.

I wonder what it was that Antonio used to drive Cornelius away. The black powder is as mysterious as the woman who Travis leads to Rebecca. He builds her a fire to help make a potion that somehow makes Rebecca breathe better.

The thing that makes your stories riveting is, there is not a lot of filler, or unnecessary nature descriptions unless they are relevant to what your character is experiencing. Plus, you rarely have a chapter with a lot of narrative, but nothing happened. Every one of your chapters is action packed. That is why I keep reading.
