You are right, it is the reviewers that keep us going. Their encouragement and willingness to help are why many of us are still here. I tend to make grammatical mistakes to and the gentle reminders make me try harder. I think you must have had a hidden talent you didn't know you had because I think you write well and not at all like a beginner. This is sure to be encouraging for new writers.

I enjoyed reading this story about how your writing improved. It is neat to read others stories. It has been a very long time since I was in school also. I know how you feel about the grammar part. I enjoyed seeing your pretty picture on here also! Love and blessings, Teri

Hello sister, I am totally embracing your story as grammar is my weakness, and I even stop writing because I was scared, but we need to persevere that is how we become better. Thank you for sharing and I had a chuckle reading this: "Cows don't care if one's grammar is good or bad, and I spent most of my time with them for many years. My only writing consisted of keeping records on the herds." Good luck with the contest.

My dear April. I saw your name pop up in my messages, and before I could breathe again, I clicked on it. I am thrilled to see your smiling face and hear your thoughts (and blessed to have you mention me). Writing is supposed to be fun - at least, that's how I look at it. When grief tries to overwhelm me, I lose myself in my character. I know you've had more than your share of difficult times, and I've enjoyed everything you've posted. If picking up pointers and discovering self-improvement comes your way while writing, well, hallelujah.

I hope you are going to stick around so we can chat and enjoy each other - writing and reading and tossing in a chat or two. I feel blessed to have your friendship and have missed you.

Smiles and hugs, Carol

So we are kin as to graduating. As for what is correct and not, whatever I write must be taken with a grain of salt for I am like a Rubic cube - complicated; however not only I but everyone has literary license to write as they please. Grammarly suggestions corrections sometimes but even then if my gut says let it be, I do. Wendy's a doll. Rachelle a pro. TB Botts is honest. And me, I have no degree in English or creative writing, so I have no right to critique but may suggestion how I would do it, if different. Be well. Our 92 year old farming dad just passed three weeks ago. There is 180 acres we tend tto and a 1/2 dozen bovines to maintain an agricultural break for taxes.
