I'm so glad Travis got Rebecca and the young girl out in this one chapter, Carol. I hate the idea of this happening, as we all know it still does happen in real life. Well written dramatic chapter, Carol. Please, you don't have to reply to me.

Woah, that was a tense chapter, Carol. I could feel the despair Rebecca was in. It makes me so angry to think that there are people in the world who are suffering in a similar way. An excellent chapter. I really enjoyed reading it.

Travis has been very brave and very resourceful finding ropes and managing to get the two of them out. Anf tripping the guard was a clever ploy - he won't be much use in the dark without his weapon. Now for getting the others out, and catching the perpetrators of this despicable evil.

Travis is a brave, resourceful little guy. He remained quiet and hidden so the guards never realized he was there. Now we know Cornelius used shiny black dust as some type of ghostly spell to trap Miriam in the mirror. I will be glad when all is revealed.

We've got a ways to go...lots of things are still happening... Rebecca's escape has started and we will see how that goes.

I was thinking that she got swept up just because something had happened to her mother and they didn't want witnesses. When the woman said she knew her mother.... Hopefully REbecca can keep her safe.

This was a great chapter moving the action forward. Travis did find his courage when he was no longer the only one in danger. He could not save everyone at once, but he did free the little girl and Rebecca. The three of them can go for help as the tunnel has to come out somewhere near the river.

I think the other women are safwe at least for now because they are expecting one more shipment before they send the women on the boats. And the weather might slow them down too.
