I have waited two days to read this chapter to give it the six it deserved. I'm not wavering in my thoughts about Tomlin, though.... Okay, just a niggle of wavering. Lol. But why did he hate Waylon so much? There had to be something going on. And why would someone kill him and try to frame Dougie? Yes, I do believe he was framed and you really should look into that more! :)) So, what does Elaine think about her son in hospital, and under suspicion? She hasn't said anything. I need to know these things so I can find out who has done all this. Aha! Light bulb moment. Did Elaine murder Tomlin when she found out what he was doing? No, that would mean she almost killed her son. Hmm. I guess I'll have to wait and see! Loved this well written chapter, my friend. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

Elaine is the mother of Miranda's first husband, Farley. Dougie was a live in boyfriend after her divorce. Thank you so much for this awesome review and the extra sparkling star. Gretchen

I really enjoyed this chapter! The way you created tension between Miranda and Elaine was so interesting. I loved how you brought in the mystery of Mr. Tomlin. Your writing made it easy for me to picture everything. I also thought it was great how you showed Miranda's suspicion - it made me want to keep reading! Keep up the fantastic work. I'm looking forward to more!

Oh my word Gretchen,
the animosity between those two is palpable. I liked that Elaine let Miranda know that she doesn't know everything. I suspect that she's right. It's rather bizarre that the hatred would go so far as to act as if you enjoyed some crap wine just to punish another person though. It sounds like these two could come to blows without too much provocation. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

Elaine and Miranda have come to blows. They bring out the worst in each other. Luckily, I had a great mother in law and this is all fiction. Thank you so much. Gretchen

I'm with her, don't dump the crappy wine, it might be the last buzz I ever get. LOL. But leave to Miranda, to pitch it in the trash anyway. Thanks for sharing.

I would have taken the wine back but Elaine wasn't going to give it to her. Thank you for the wonderful review and the nice extra star. Gretchen

Elaine is not nice. LoL another excellent chapter. I like Miranda. She is dealing with a lot. Thank God for mitch.... he sounds like a good guy..... a keeper.

I'm not sure about these two.... maybe is a misspelled word maybe not.

"I hadn't (though) about that, to be honest" *thought?

"She (sakes) her head. "She's talking to the grief counselor." *shake?

Well done!

Gypsy

You always write interesting stories that flow very well when they're read aloud. It makes a real pleasure when I have to listen to it rather than being able to read it. I wish you the very best with your writing. I also wish you a wonderful weekend and may God bless you.

A different way of looking at Mr. Tomlin. Interesting. Maybe not an abuser but a person to talk with if you're gay. That changes the whole thing and would actually make some sense. I can't wait to read more.

Thank you for not making up your mind about Tomlin. While he was tough to take, he might not be all bad. Gretchen

I guess I'll never understand women, they smart ass each other a lot, men go about it differently, my dear wife is one of the good guys, women tend tend to value decisions quickly. I love watching them, we've got such lovely female friends. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

I surround myself with good friends, but have been involved with many nasty ones. I learned early on, if they'll talk about others to you, they will talk to others about you. Thank you so much for this., Gretchen

Perhaps Miranda has the wrong impression of Mr Tomlin? I feel for Waylon as he was only just getting used to his Dad being around and now this happens. Your story has some complex emotions that we can identify with here Gretchen, a clever story, well written as always, love Dolly x x x

She is a dragon Lady anyone would have hated to have as a mother-in-law. It doesn't sound as though she is going to be of a low of help to Miranda. I hope Dougie isn't guilty of killing the teacher.
