You are hilarious, short sweet and that is how you get me to exercise.. not:) "So we travel through time just like there was no theory. We just go forward."
"Yes. Now, however, with this time machine and that time machine," pointing at the two similar treadmill-looking devices, "we can alter the passage by one minute either way." " Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings,

Either Jeff needs a machine to help him think or he is pulling the doctor's leg, an unmanly thing to do. I believe the message is, time does its thing despite what we think or do in response.

I tell people to read the first line again after the last line.

I got it. I just wanted to mention the unmanliness of pulling a man's leg.

A great entry for flash fiction. that ending was perfect. It's about time you wrote something like this. The story ran so smoothly, it took no time at all to finish. Take some time out and write more like this.

A fun theory and maybe a minute could be enough time to change a life so it would be good but not recommended to use both time machines. Best wishes in the contest!

Just a very smart doctor getting his patients to get exercise! this was a hoot. Did you like my western "Hardly Quicksilver"? That only took two years to crank that sucker out. My muse was very little help. Good writing you did here. Karen

Ah, so he went back in time he was supposed to have went back in time one minute, but now he is stuck in a never-ending cycle, a time paradox or loop.
Very interesting.

This reminds me of a documentary we watched. Today's research of time travel is hardly what back to the future movies expressed. This is well written with good imagery and dialogue.
Best wishes,
Alex

Reliving our time would be great if we get to alter our pathway, but then again, by doing that we might encounter an early death! I enjoyed your inventive post Bill, love Dolly x x x
