I wonder if the formatting change in the middle two sentences of the following was intended..? It doesn't show up different here, that I can see..but in the chapter, they're slightly different.
"Sure, what is it?" Rossi had already promised to tell Jack what he knew, so he was curious about what else he wanted to know. Did he want to know why he'd joined with Doyle? Or did he wonder if any other of his men were in on it? "Ask me anything, Jack. After all, it's all in the past, right?"
Also wonder about the 'flicker of amusement' description being used back to back describing Jin. Effective, but wonder if it was an oversight.
OK! on to the next.

Probably an oversight...I have a difficult time when I am proofing to see what I think I wrote not what I did. It's a lot to write every day and keep it moving.

This Zhang dude is a special brand of evil, isn't he? I was cringing as I read of the blindfold butterfly knife scenario. Geez. Whatever happens (and it must include Donatelli being saved for me to breathe) --I sure hope Zhang gets HIS even if it is by a double cross!

Rossi made a very good decision to call Jack and tell him everything. Zhang's methods are truly creepy. Jack then calls Frank and they plot the next hour. Donatelli must live and Jin should die, hopefully.

Now the tension really is ticking up a notch, I'm desperate to find out if Donatelli will pull through, but I can't bear the thought of Zhang getting to him first. I love how you keep upping the stakes here, Carol, it really makes for addictive reading. I really enjoyed this chapter.

The butterfly sword came from the idea of a cleaver and then I research to see if Chinese used cleavers or would it be a sword... I found the butterfly sword and instantly knew it had to be in the story....Next chapter will be Donatelli's rescue,,,and then back to Rebecca...

The next chapter with Donatelli will be a hot one.... who's going to win? Will Jin guess that Rossi can't hold up his end? Will Jack be able to pull of the exchange and get Donatelli out safely? Will law enforcement play ball with the gangsters? Oh so many questions.
