This is a very lovely Cinquain poem. It has all the elements for this style of poem. It is well organized and flows nicely from beginning to end.

Good luck in the contest.

Cecilia

Thank you for the poets history lesson in your other notes. It's a nice piece you put together for your "A Cinquain For Robbie Burns"
I particularly liked your line "He wove words of love Landon lore." I looked up the word lore, so I would understand what that was. It was funny because the first definition talked about the top of a birds head, but then I read on to the second definition, which I'm sure you were talking about.
Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your weekend.

    Hi Lana
Thank you for your lovely review. This is my first attempt at a cinquain, so fingers crossed. The word lore is very much an English word, and it is best described as the 'lore' in "folklore," and responsible for spreading the word on mythical figures like Santa Claus, Paul Bunyan, and even Uncle Sam!
The other meaning of lore is the space between the eye and bill in a bird or the corresponding region in a reptile or fish.
    God, what am I like
Take care, Lana and God bless
    X

    Hi Dolly
I chose RB because yesterday (25) was Burns Night.
Burns Night, which occurs on 25 January yearly, celebrates the life and legacy of Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns.
He is best known for Auld Lang Syne, a Scottish song with words attributed to Robert Burns. The composer is not known.
Take care, Dolly and bless you
