Midway in below, - I believe that 'patience' was meant to be patient or patients. ?
On to the next chapter.

He is, but with situations like this, we like to give the patience every support we can. One of Matthew's lungs collapsed, so he needs help with his breathing."

This is an excellent follow-up to the previous chapter. I was hoping Matthew would survive his near brush with death in the OR. In this book more than the others I'm touched by your ability to portray Eleanor both as a sort of "super-spirit" and yet also one who is feeling the gravity of all that has fallen upon her.

(I imagine our guardian angels must feel overwhelmed at times!)

I must be on your wavelength a little bit because I was wondering if maybe Matthew would be best taken care of at Frank's hospital. (Yay! --I remembered!)

Garth is frantic. This isn't just another important case --it's Rebecca!
His "barking" at Antonio seemed congruent with how I've seen many people react in times of severe stress.

All of your skill is on overdrive, Carol.

This is a hopeful yet complex chapter!

It's been a little more difficult to navigate than the last book... I'm think in the next one (if there is a next one) the team needs to recuperate ...take a vacation maybe where there are castles...we can have a wedding, the castle can be haunted, and maybe the guests will be served by ghosts. LOL

    How's that sound? LOl

The emotions both at the vineyard and in the hospital are on a knifes edge and through your descriptions the tension comes through to the reader. Well written Carol.

Eleanor really is the strength at the middle of those who are trying to end the bad guys. Unfortunately, she is feeling weak also as so many things are going wrong and so much depends on her. Great writing as you make clear Eleanor's position and how she must keep moving, trying to brace up those who feel lost or hopeless.

Eleanor is feeling the heat and having to use her powers is draining her...she needs a breathing spot.

This is another excellent chapter. Who is Frank? I do not see him listed in the spirits or the people.

There is one edit, "He is, but in situations like this, we like to give the patience (patient) every support we can.

Have a blessed day.

Hello, dear.... Thanks for reading another chapter in my story. I don't know if you know that this is the fourth book with these characters. I have really enjoyed writing it.... sorry the gangster got left off the roster. Frank DiVito is a retired gnagster turned philanthropist. He has a five star hospital which the gang has used several times. He's also a childhood friend of Garth's.

I like how Eleanor shares her energy when it's needed, even though it seems to weaken her. Hopefully Frank will be able to get Matthew moved to his hospital, and will be helpful in solving the mystery of who shot Donatelli. Well written chapter. Have a blessed week. Carol

Yes, Eleanor will give everything she's got to keep those she loves safe from harm. I just hope it doesn't take too much out of her.

Poor Garth is nearly falling apart, but I feel mostly for Eleanor, if ghosts can possibly exist on an earthly plain, let it be people like her, with values and fight in them. Donatelli is also infused with Eleanor's resolve, this is beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

I would hope that if there could ever be angels among us that they will always be like Eleanor...there to protect, shield and love.

This was a very emotional chapter. Everyone's nerves are on edge. Your description of Garth's reactions were so realistic when he said, "I don't care about tunnels or ghosts or whatever game Cornelius is playing!" Everyone is waiting for answers, including me. But I'm the only one enjoying the wait. Lol.

The next few chapters are going to be intense for everyone. I'm glad that you understood Garth and how at that very moment he wasn't FBI, he was someone in love and worried. Thanks as always.

You really are keeping the tension ticking up a notch with this chapter, Carol. I'm certain Matthew will pull through, he is strong and I know he won't slip away without putting up a good fight. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

If you felt the tension building, you made my day, aco. If I can put my reader on the edge of their seat, biting their nails, I've succeeded. Appreciate your kindness as always.

I guess the motto of this chapter is fight, fight, fight, damn it! There is so much pain and sorrow, and uncertinity, but I think Matthew will make it, he has no choice, he must live and finish what he started.

Don't ever give up and surrender until that last gasp of breath....that's what I always told my husband and he came back more times than the doctors ever thought possible.
