Thank goodness no good guys died. Just the bad guy.
The ending scene with the back and forths between sweet strong Eleanor and Charles made me want to give you a hug... but since you're there and I'm here and it's really just a story, the 6 star will I give for this chapter. It got me.
And with that I move on to Chapter 17.

Loved Eleanor's battle with her conscience as she stood over Doyle.But he got what he deserved anyway. I like that Eleanor's got someone to support her in Charles. Great chapter, again.

I could really feel Eleanor's fury in this piece, Carol. I really hope Donatelli is going to be OK, he's already gone through too much for this to happen to him now. This was really exciting and tense, I loved reading it.

A tender and comforting ending for Eleanor with the reappearance of Charles, after a chapter filled with fear and violence and emotions even difficult for a ghost. Glad that nature took its course with Doyle, and E managed to avoid being guilty of murder, which she would not have coped with.

This is a powerful chapter as Eleanor even begins to doubt that the good will win out. So much is going wrong, except that Doyle is no more, that she really needs him when Charles joins her. The gremlins have attacked your summary with force, much like Eleanor needs.
