Wow continuing thoughts flow about. Were you and are you still a marine, even post service time, for I knew many jarheads in my ten years of service. Loved them all. They are the best, and yet I couldn't have the cajones to be one.
I assume you were a USMC man of war due to the sticks in the pic engraves USMC.

I thought you were joking when you told me you had shaved it off.
It was long . I would have trimmed off the bush as much as possible without touching my skin
Then I would have wet the remaining short beard and put some shaving cream on before using the hunting knife.
You definitely need a steady hand but above all believe more in yourself.
How many cuts before you gave up?

An excellent entry for the Zany Conversations with Ourselves Contest. This was like a lucid dream in the Twilight Zone while on medication. Which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. Loved the ending but just wish I knew exactly how bad he failed lol good luck in the contest.
