This is a great rambling conversation with yourself. You are going to drive yourself crazy asking questions that surely can't be answered. This was a fun read.
Good luck in the contest.

Life is like a box of chocolate
We never know what flavor is next.

I enjoyed your philosophical interpretation of what is or isn't, when it begins, and when it ends. I appreciate the insanity of today, as it helps me see what tomorrow might bring. My dreams have meaning, but I don't know what they are half the time.
I am a firm believer in God. How can I not be? I believe that most people travel this world with their eyes closed. Not able to see what's in front of their faces. What a shame.
Brilliant work, my friend.
God bless,
Steve

Thanks, Steve. I'd rather believe and be wrong than not believe and be judged. Everywhere I look a miracle has or is occurring.

Absolutely. My pleasure, my friend.

Wow, I loved your philosophical approach to human genesis, and maybe this constant roller coaster of emotions is the key to insanity garnished with plenty of doubts and "to be or not to be", culminated by yours "(I think; therefore, I am)". Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Certainly a bit of a meandering thought pattern that fits the competition by definition... Interesting take for you here! Thanx for sharing your pen and good luck in the competition.

I think Confucius like the rest of us can only think with the mortal mind, beginnings and ends, to us we have no past therefore we have no future, therefore life is meaningless as it says in Ecclesiastes, which has the third chapter, a time to live, a time to die etc. But this life doesn't have meaning without love, do I believe in God? Empathetically...yes! So, how else do you think this wondrous universe got here? Mutation depends on trillions of cels having an epiphany together in mutating, is that possible? It's extremely unlikely. Just a though. Well done, good luck, blessings Roy

It only takes an extra cup of coffee for me to discuss the issues of life for six straight hours. I need to write it down when it happens. You need paragraph breaks between 7 & 8 and the last two. I love this contest. This is a wonderfully written piece. Good luck in the contest! Have a great day, and God bless.
